First All-Europe Racist/Fascist Gathering Overshadowed in Denmark

“EDL summit in Denmark humiliated by low attendance” - The Guardian

(COPENHAGEN) - anti-fascist rally in Denmark On March 31, some 5000 Danes and a couple hundred like-minded anti-racists from other Scandinavian countries and England marched in Aarhus, to stop the spread of racist/fascist groupings popping up around Europe. Some have ties in the United States.

Their march was a counter-demonstration to the first all-Europe rally against Muslims.

Teacher Duct Taped Black Child to Chair- Still Employed

Educational system takes swipe at family's dignity by leaving teacher in place.

(THE BRONX, NY) - Irel Jones A Bronx teacher is accused of duct taping her student to a chair because he wouldn’t sit down.

Sixth grader Irel Jones said another student was asking him for answers during a test so he got up, but then instructed him to sit down, and then taped to his chair by his teacher. Jones says his teacher then looked on as his fellow students made fun of him.

U.N. Sri Lanka Vote Redefines India`s Regional Role

India’s PM Manmohan Singh wrote to Rajapaksa to tell his him that India had tried, at least, to introduce “an element of balance in the language of (a) resolution.”

In the early months of 2009 when Sri Lanka’s war was reaching its final crescendo, frantic calls were made to Colombo by Sri Lankan diplomats at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The calls warned that the U.S., Britain and France were contemplating unilateral action against the government for the conduct of its war against the Tamil Tigers.

India’s support to the U.S. sponsored resolution was out of sync with other members of the Asian bloc in the UNHRC who did not support the U.S. move.

(CHENNAI, India Eurasia Review) - Salem-News.com India was among the 24 countries that voted for the U.S. draft resolution on Sri Lanka’s accountability in respect of human rights violations which was passed at the 19th meeting of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) at Geneva.

India had initially shown reluctance to vote on a nation-specific resolution.
