Childhood Ghost Story Haunts a Lifetime

This is a true haunting story, told to you, as it was told to me. Do you have a true tale to share?

(SALEM, Ore.) - When Natalie Barragan was about 3 years old, the year was 1977 and she and her family had just moved into a house in New England. Soon, little Nancy began seeing various apparitions in the house, including ‘people’ walking in, out and through her bedroom.

Most disturbing of all she saw a frightened woman hanging by the neck.

Many times reports of paranormal occurrences do indeed surround young children and teen-agers, such as in reported cases of poltergeist activity.

(SALEM, Ore.) - I believe we are either brought up with, or somehow develop a natural association with fear and darkness. A pitch-black room or sitting around a campfire at night are the perfect settings in which to share ghost stories and scare our friends, let's face it, in the dark we are more susceptible to our imaginations!

The concrete lines of what “is” and “is not” become softened and the two worlds ooze into one another, we are no longer as confident about what “can” and “can not” be lurking in the unseen as we are in the light.

(SALEM, Ore.) - For me, growing up in my parent's house as a child, there were always tales of ghosts and strange occurrences. This was, for the most part, dinner table conversation for us.

There were stories of deceased relatives who were still heard arguing in their now abandoned home where the front yard was now littered with over grown grass, shrubs and trees, there were stories of “Voodoo” rituals and spells that had been cast on family members in the past, mysterious black dogs and giant crows.

A Ghost in Residence

This is a true story, as far as I know...
Only the names of those involved have been changed since I am retelling their story, as it was told me:

(SALEM, Ore.) - The house in the suburbs was quite large and beautiful, hardwood flooring and decorative wallpaper complimented the intricate trim detail and crown moldings. Yet there seemed to be something else going on beneath the surface.

It wasn’t long before Mary started to notice that something was strange about their new home, whenever she was alone in the house she often felt as if she was being watched... sometimes she even thought she caught glimpses of “shadows” darting across the room out of the corner of her eye.

Ghost House in London

A seriously scary story about a child ghost and untraceable sounds.

(LONDON) - In London, south of the river in a place called Brixton (think of the bronx in New York then you will get a good idea about what this place is like... or better still Google “Brixton Riots”.

Apparently they are starting to clean this place up with expensive house conversions, especially in the big old houses that have plenty of space to rent out the rooms to what seems to be the new age of modern arty and media types.
