Portland`s 19th Global Cannabis March a Big Success

All the ruckus was hundreds of happy Oregon cannabis activists showing strength in numbers.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Elvy Musikka The first Saturday of May is a big day for Cannabis freedom fighters around the world. In Portland, the 19th annual Global Cannabis event was celebrated downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square, and the lively march set off from that point.

The festivities began at high noon in Portland's living room. The sun shined brightly, kicking off the day with amazing positive Oregon energy.

Two Gresham Men Sentenced to Federal Prison for Defrauding Investors of $2.5 Million

Instead of using investor money as promised, Holbrook and Arauz diverted it for their own personal use.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Salem-News.com 37-year old Theodore B. Holbrook and 45-year old George J. Arauz, Jr., both of Gresham, Oregon, were sentenced today to 36 months in federal prison for defrauding 50 investors of nearly $2.5 million using a sham energy technology start-up company.

Holbrook and Arauz were also ordered to pay more than $2.3 million each in restitution and will be on supervised release for three years after completing their prison sentences.

White Bird Clinic is Expanding Dental & Medical Services

In response to continuously increasing community need, White Bird Clinic is purchasing a new building.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - White Bird clinic fundraiser White Bird Clinic will purchase the building at 1415 Pearl St. and redevelop it into a dental clinic to serve burgeoning community need.

The new building will allow White Bird dental to serve 50 additional patients each week and increase capacity to host student internships. The clinic will also provide denture care for elderly patients and allow White Bird to serve more children and families.

Disconcerting results reported by the Oregon Center for Public Policy

Mother and Father Swept Out to Sea Near Depoe Bay

The family had immigrated to the United States from China in July.

(DEPOE BAY, Ore.) - Salem-News.com 49-year old Miaochan Chen, and 41-year old Wenjun Zhu, from Lake Oswego, were visiting the Oregon Coast with their 10-year old daughter.

The group were picnicking off Otter Crest Loop when Chen, Zhu, and their daughter took a trail down to rocks which overlooked the ocean. A wave washed over the rocks and swept Chen and Zhu into the ocean. Their daughter was unharmed.

Portland Man Arrested for 31-Count Sex Crimes Indictment

Luring a minor and encouraging child sexual abuse in the first, & second degrees are some of the charges looming against the accused.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Randy Shefstad Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill announced that a secret indictment filed against 52-year-old Randy Shefstad was unsealed.

The indictment alleges the defendant used graphic and sexually charged language to electronically communicate with four separate minor victims – in four different states – in 2017 and 2018 for the purposes of sexual gratification.

UPDATE: The three were found alive and safe.

(SAMS VALLEY, Ore.) - missing Oregon woman The search for a missing woman and her two children has ended. Tanda Christiansen, 28, and her daughters, ages 6 and 7, were found Thursday afternoon approximately two miles from their home.

On Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 1:06 p.m., a resident in the 8400-block of Ramsey Road called dispatch to report finding the three missing subjects on his property. They were hiding in a brushy area along Sams Creek.
