Salem Police Investigate Fatal Hit and Run Crash on McGilchrist SE

Late Tuesday at 11:30 pm a man walking his bicycle was hit and killed by a vehicle, which did not stop.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Fatal hit and run It appears the male had been walking his bike along the shoulder of McGilchrist, near 22nd St SE, prior to being struck by a vehicle, which left the scene without stopping.

Investigators had McGilchrist shut down for several hours while they investigated the fatal crash.

(SALEM, Ore.) - hemp products The American Herbal Products Association has submitted comments to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), requesting numerous, significant revisions to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) that establishes a domestic hemp production program before a Final Rule is promulgated in 2021.

The IFR will be in effect for two years, impacting hemp production during the 2020 and 2021 hemp growing seasons.

BLM Releases Final Western Oregon Tribal Fairness Act Decision

The reclassification does not change the management of the land

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Oregon Today the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) released the Decision Record for the reclassification of public domain lands as part in one of the final steps of the implementation of the Western Oregon Tribal Fairness Act. The Act, signed into law by President Trump on January 8, 2018.

In addition to transferring these lands into trust for the Tribes, the Act also required the BLM to identify and convert public domain lands to replace the conveyed O&C lands. Reclassifying these lands as O&C lands will allow 18 western Oregon counties to share in a portion of receipts from timber sales on these lands.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Cannabis Recall The product in question was cultivated by licensed marijuana producer Ard Ri and packaged for sale to retailers by licensed wholesaler DYME Distribution.

The affected marijuana flower failed its pesticide test, because it exceeded the acceptable level, known as the “action limit”, for the insecticide Imidacloprid. The flower was incorporated into pre-rolled joints marketed under the Winberry Farms Sweet Leaf Blend; the strain name is Trap Star.
