Bird Groups Raise Alarms over Wind Industry Installation of Six Giant Wind Turbines in Critical Great Lakes Bird Migration Corridor

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Bird American Bird Conservancy (ABC) and Black Swamp Bird Observatory (BSBO) charge that millions of migrating and federally protected birds, including an active Bald Eagle nest, will be threatened by an Ohio wind development currently under construction.

The concern was raised in a letter sent this week to federal officials.

Tragedies like this will be avoided when people learn to criticize contempt--in ourselves and others, and make choices for respect for the world and people around us.

(RIVERDALE, NY) - Ohio school shooting victims: Danny Parmertor, Demetrius Hewlin and Russel King My heart goes out to the friends and family of the students of Chardon High School who were shot in the attack by another teenager.

As a person who worked in NYC high schools, I know how much young people need to know that the cause of such violence has been understood and can be changed.

The suspect in the early morning shooting at the high school building, Scott Wilson, was arrested

(CLEVELAND) - Scene after shooting in Ohio The nation is in shock today once again, over a deadly high school shooting, this time it happened in Chardon, Ohio. One student was left dead after a student opened fire in the school cafeteria.

(PORTSMOUTH, Ohio) - Portsmouth, Ohio Police building sign It recently came to my attention that the small community of Portsmouth, Ohio in Scioto County, Ohio is fighting crime and their prescription drug epidemic without a police headquarters facility.

It was closed down in 2010 due to an asbestos and black mold problem. The 40 officers of the Portsmouth Police Department are scattered in buildings throughout the town.
