US to Launch Nuclear-Capable Missile from Vandenberg on International Day of Peace

The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation has initiated an Action Alert in which thousands of citizens around the country have sent messages to President Obama urging him to cancel the planned missile test

(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) - Vandenberg AFB protestor arrested The United States has selected September 21, 2011, the United Nations International Day of Peace, for its next launch of a Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. The launch will take place at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California with a target in the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.

An annual International Day of Peace was declared by the United Nations General Assembly as a day for "commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples."

Their motives were fueled by faith/conscience in protest of the continued and soon to be expanded production of Hydrogen Bomb materials at the Y-12 Complex.

54-year-old Steward D. Nozette worked at the White House in 1989 – 1990 on a project aimed at discovering water on the moon. In the 1990s he worked for the Department of Energy’s Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Also, he worked on the “Star Wars” missile defense project and had access to the nation’s most guarded nuclear secrets.

Japan is Venting Radiation High Into Atmosphere

There are reports that teachers are forcing school children to eat food that their parents told them not to eat.

(HUMBOLDT, Calif.) - Fukushima Radioactive cesium exceeding 8,000 becquerels/kg has been detected in the ashes from burning the regular household garbage in Kanto and Tohoku regions.

The Ministry of the Environment has decided to apply the same rule as the disaster debris and allow the ashes to be buried.
