Searchers Reach 8 Climbers Stranded on Oregon`s Mt. HoodSalem-News.comThe 3 additional climbers who reportedly fell over a ledge are located some 150' down a steep section of the mountain very close to the rescued 5 climbers. (MT HOOD) -
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue personnel have announced that the rescue team dispatched to assist the 8 climbers are making great progress with this ongoing mission despite whiteout conditions on Mt. Hood.

UPDATE: Salem Based Oregon Guard Helicopter Launches to Aid Injured Female Hiker on Mt. HoodSalem-News.comThe UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter from the Oregon Army National Guard departed Timberline Lodge en route to Hogs Back and had the rescue underway at 9:40 PM. (Mount Hood) -
The Oregon Army National Guard launched a Blackhawk helicopter Tuesday evening for a night rescue operation on Mt. Hood where a 45-year old woman who had been hiking, received injuries.
