OAS Human Rights Commission Demands Protection for Activists

Chihuahua Governor Duarte reportedly pledged to provide protection for activists and their family members.

Drug War: U.S. and Mexico share protected witness central to murder of U.S. agent and investigation of Tamaulipas governors.

(CIUDAD Juarez CIP) - Jaime Zapata photo: mexico.cnn.com Miguel Ángel Soto Para, founder of the Los Zetas cartel, is one of more than 50 protected witnesses who U.S. and Mexican authorities have shared.

Tropical Storm Paul is expected to slowly move off to the northwest, parallel to the Baja Peninsula's west coast.

(STATE COLLEGE,, PA Accuweathter.com) - Tropical Storm Paul Tropical Storm Paul will graze Baja California in Mexico today, helping it to weaken further in the coming hours.

As the center of the storm meanders along the coast, the storm will be thrust into conditions that will rip the storm apart. High up in the atmosphere, strong upper-level winds will create a disconnect between the top and bottom of the storm, weakening it.

Oregon marijuana advocates want to get the Mexican drug cartels out of Oregon and the marijuana business.

(PORTLAND, OR) - Mexico's drug cartel drug war; Dr. Leveque has been trying to draw attention to this for years.  Anti-pot foes are working to keep these murderers from Mexico in business, The Oregonian has recently published three articles demeaning the effort to legalize marijuana.

They seem to ignore the fact that most Oregonians and most Americans are in favor of legalization. Why the newspaper has this position is just NOT understandable.
