Drug Dealer`s 269 Month Prison Term 3 Times Longer than Sentence for Child Abusers

(SALEM, Ore.) - Prisoner's hands on bars A person can get in a lot more trouble for selling drugs in Marion County, Oregon, than they can for years of systematic religious child abuse.

Two Ukrainian immigrants convicted of nine counts of Child Abuse, are sentenced to 7 years in prison. A Hispanic man sold meth ten times to narcs while his kids were in the house, and he's going down for 22 years.

Man Hit by Train Near Gervais

(GERVAIS, Ore.) - Antonio Montelongo was struck by an Amtrack train and killed Marion County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian hit by an Amtrak train Thursday at 3:30 p.m. about 1/2 mile north of Gervais.

When deputies arrived they found a 33-year old Hispanic male who was deceased and identified as Antonio Montelongo believed to be from the Gervais area.

Salem Man Reportedly Turns Gun on Himself After Confrontation with Deputy

A police bomb squad is currently on scene at Lancaster and Center where a vehicle connected to the dead man may be rigged with a bomb.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com A bizarre story in Salem tonight is still unwinding and the facts are not all in, but we know that police are currently on the scene of a suspected car bomb, connected to a man who fatally turned a gun on himself earlier this evening.

A man under investigation for domestic assault and kidnapping, whose name has not been released, shot himself this evening in Salem, after he was confronted by a deputy. Law enforcement officers now say that a vehicle belonging to the dead man's girlfriend, may have a bomb in it.

Marion County Deputy Survives Head on Crash (PHOTOS)

A Salem woman and her son also survived the crash.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Head-on crash in Marion County, Oregon 11-8-09 Marion County Deputy Mike Brewster was involved in a head-on vehicle crash while driving his marked patrol car on Quinaby Road NE and Clear Lake Road this morning at 10:07 a.m.

Lt. Sheila Lorance with the Sheriff's Office, says Brewster had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Salem Hospital where he is in stable condition and will be held overnight for observation.

Halloween Masked Armed Robbery Suspects Hit Salem Pizza Parlor

Two suspects fled the area in an unknown direction.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Primetime Pizza on Rich Drive in Salem Oregon Marion County Sheriff's deputies say a Halloween night armed robbery at Primetime Pizza on Rich Drive in Salem, involved suspects with Halloween masks.

One witness told Salem-News.com that two people were working, but the male employee had to leave to make a delivery. and a young woman was ultimately working alone when the suspects entered the building, demanding money.

Fatal Weekend Crash Under Investigation

The driver of the Honda Prelude, 40-year old Reynaldo Velazquez-Celestino of Salem, was deceased at the scene and had to be extricated from the vehicle.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Fatal crash Deputies aren't sure why the driver of a 1985 Honda drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle early Saturday morning.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office responded to the vehicle crash at 5995 Hazelgreen Road NE just before 7:00 a.m. Saturday.

Sheriff`s Office Releases Photos in Salem Bank Robbery

The vehicle may have been seen in the South Salem area.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Suspect vehicle in Salem, Oregon armed robbery 10-14-09 The Marion County Sheriff's Office and the FBI say they are continuing their investigation into the Robbery of Key Bank that occurred on 10-14-09.

Investigators have received additional information and photos regarding the suspect vehicle, a Mercury Grand Marquis, possibly a 1998-2002 model.

Bank Robbery Suspect Sought in Salem

It happened at the Key Bank, located at 750 Lancaster Drive NE. The suspect is described as a white male, between 50 and 60 years of age, with a gray hoodie over a gray button up shirt.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Suspect at the Key Bank Robbery in Salem 10-14-09 Deputies are searching for an Armed Robbery suspect in Salem who they say robbed the Key Bank in Salem today at 3:00 p.m.

Calls came in just after the incident and deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Office showed up shortly after 3:00 to interview witnesses and take reports.
