(SEOUL) - South Korea illustration I was in Seoul, South Korea this month at the invitation of the wonderful EBS TV Documentary Festival, and was truly, happily surprised to see a resurgence of activism among ordinary Koreans.

Don't get me wrong. Since its founding, Korea has had a tradition of fierce, die-hard activism (which Koreans themselves may attribute to a diet high in garlic and red pepper, as well as their commitment to social justice), but this ferocity seemed to have gone dormant in the mid-nineties.

Agent Orange: U.S. Veterans Asked To Help Korean Government Investigation

Uncovering the reality of Monsanto and Agent Orange in South Korea.

(SEOUL, Korea) - Agent Orange is not just a plague in Vietnam. Former U.S. Army Captain Phil Steward provided testimony to the Korean National Assembly on Monday, August 1st, on the U.S. Army’s use of herbicdes in Korea during 1968-1969, according to a news story in The Chosunilbo and confirmed in an email from Steward to me today.

The Chairman of the Korean National Sub-Committee asked Steward to help in obtaining statements from Korean veterans about their probably exposure to Agent Orange and other herbicides.

North & South Korea Must Push Toward Peace: Window of Opportunity Still Open

The North and South need to re-unite as one people as they were in the beginning.

(SEOULE, South Korea) - Peace in Korea North Korea went to war against South Korea in 1950. The USA assisted the South, China assisted the North, and a stalemate was declared in 1953.

There were very serious tensions between China & USA post 1953, but the two eventually became each other's biggest trade partners with the influence of very sharp American & Chinese politicians thus neutralizing any threat of war between the two nations, because of their co-dependence on each other financially.
