3 Escape Overnight House Fire in Keizer

Investigators say the fire was caused by an unattended candle.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - A family of three was able to escape a house fire in Keizer late Wednesday night.

Keizer firefighters were called to a home 3500 block of Cherry Avenue. Two engine companies, a ladder company a medic unit and a command officer, ten firefighters in all, arrived in less than five minutes.

Chief Cowan began his career as an Emergency Medical Technician in 1981, in Oregon City, with Willamette Falls Ambulance.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Keizer Fire Chief, Jeff Cowan, was recognized by the Keizer Fire Board of Directors and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians for his achievement of 30 years as a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic.
