(KEIZER, Ore. ) - A family of three was able to escape a house fire in Keizer late Wednesday night. Keizer firefighters were called to a home 3500 block of Cherry Avenue. Two engine companies, a ladder company a medic unit and a command officer, ten firefighters in all, arrived in less than five minutes. When firefighters arrived on scene they found heavy smoke coming from the second story of the residence. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze before it could do more damage. The fire caused about $30,000 in damages. Investigators say the fire was caused by an unattended candle.
