In Defence of Pacifica Forum
Jay Knott for Salem-News.com
A group seeks clarification in the wake of a Salem-News.com report.
(EUGENE, Ore.) -
This piece was sparked off by Ersun Warncke's opinion piece "Evict Pacifica Forum from the U of O Campus" published on Salem-News, 11 May 2010.
In many ways, some of what Ersun says is uncontroversial: "Hitler should have been beaten to death in the street like a rabid dog the first time he opened his mouth".

Elvis Costello Cancels Tel Aviv Appearance `It Is After Considerable Contemplation....`
Elvis Costello Special to Salem-News.com
Public pressure is mounting on Elton John to do the same...
(LONDON) -
It is after considerable contemplation that I have lately arrived at the decision that I must withdraw from the two performances scheduled in Israel on the 30th of June and the 1st of July.
One lives in hope that music is more than mere noise, filling up idle time, whether intending to elate or lament.

Poetry by Lucas Easter Salem-News.com
It is a term quickly tossed at critics of Israel, and the practice erodes the importance of the term's real meaning.

I Stand by Palestine Forever
Kourosh Ziabari Salem-News.com
I stand by the people of Palestine, because they're real human beings.
(TEHRAN) -
In a recent interview which I conducted with the brave Brazilian cartoonist Carlos Latuff, he told me that he has never seen a nation to be as strong and powerful as the Palestinian nation.
I admire his statement. He is right in his position to say that the Palestinians are one of the strongest nations of the world.

Salem-News Under Attack for Israel Stories
Tim King Salem-News.com
False accusations of anti-Semitism are easily dismissed by those who know us; for those who don't, the only thing we're guilty of is honest reporting on a very hard topic.
(SALEM, Ore.) -
People who are dialed into the news know that Israel struck the people of Gaza during the winter of 2008/2009 , killing 1400 plus, primarily civilians, over 400 children among them.
Salem-News.com has been under attack in recent days in every imaginable public setting, because we tell the truth about Israel's military tactics, and oppression of the Palestinians.

Where Angels Fear to Tread
Salem-News.com Team Report
KGB operatives? Israeli Drug Dealers? Moonies? Who are these guys at Salem-News.com, and who gets paid to write this stuff?
(SALEM, Ore.) -
Those of us who are in the business of taking a public stand against Zionist "high crimes and misdemeanors" are used to being assailed by the AIPAC/ADL/Hasbara crew and their puppets. It comes with the turf.
Most of these attacks are sufficiently heavy-handed and bizarre to be readily dismissed out of hand by almost anyone who reads or hears them, and even quicker to be discredited by others on whatever forum they appear -- Israeli apologists excepted, of course.

Why I Appreciate Press TV
Kourosh Ziabari Salem-News.com
Press TV realistically has fulfilled its promise to serve as an outlet that exhibits the bitter realities that the mainstream media otherwise overlook.
(TEHRAN) -
Press TV came under harsh criticism by British media outlets during the period of political unrest that followed the reelection of incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in June 2009.
This seemed to be simply a retaliatory act against Iranian statesmen’s explicit condemnation of the UK’s BBC, which they alleged provoked riot and insurgence in a turbulent Tehran.
