Myanmar Security Force (Lun Htin) Arrest Rohingya Women After Failing to Arrest Male Villagers from Kiladaung

The unrest is taking place in villages south of Maungdaw.

(MAUNGDAW, Burma) - Map of Maungdaww, Burma According to a reliable news source from Maungdaw, some Rohingya women have been taken to Maungdaw Lun Htin Headquarters from the Kiladaung village (Du Chiradan village), located six miles south of Maungdaw, after Lun Htin (Govt. security forces) failed to arrest male villagers.

It is alleged that last night, a Lun Htin, along with his other Rakhine Buddhist associates, entered the village, reportedly for the purpose of looting.

Sharon and a Nobel Prize for Nonsense

One interesting thing very few people know about Sharon is that he was opposed to Israel developing and possessing nuclear weapons.

But if there was a Nobel Prize for talking nonsense it does now seem that there would be a number of contenders.

At the top of my list of them would be British Prime Minister David Cameron. In paying tribute to Sharon he praised him for his “brave and controversial decisions in pursuit of peace.”

Students say government continues to ignore their requests.

(RANGOON) - Young Rohingya girls Hundreds of Rohingya university students in Arakan State have been prevented from continuing higher education pursuits, with authorities saying their safety cannot be guaranteed more than a year after communal violence tore through the region.

Universities in several Arakan townships were shuttered to all students in the immediate aftermath of the 2012 violence, but while Rohingya Muslims say their education has been put on indefinite hold, their Buddhist counterparts have since been allowed to continue their studies and some have gone on to graduate.
