2010 Minidoka Pilgrimage

Minidoka invites all those who are interested to join us on our pilgrimage.

(TWIN FALLS, Idaho) - Gathering at a previous event at Minidoka During World War II, almost 13,000 people of Japanese ancestry were forcibly removed from their homes and sent to a desolate “internment camps”.

Former internees, families, friends, and those interested in this historic event will make a pilgrimage from Seattle and Portland to the former Minidoka Internment Camp in June.

Documentary Recounts Struggle of Agent Orange Veterans

(DA NANG, Vietnam) - Greg Davis, shown during the Vietnam War period and more recently, died four years ago from cancer related to Agent Orange contamination in Vietnam. Our friend and fellow activist, Masako Sakata, has made her extraordinary documentary film available via the on-line Russian TV Channel.

Masako explains that it was seven years ago when Greg Davis, her husband of more than 30 years, died at the age of 54.

Plane Crash in Russia: Tragedy for Poland

New presidential elections will be held before June 20.

(SMOLENSK / PATAGONIA) - Tupolev TU-154 A large contingent of high ranking Polish civilian and military leaders were killed this morning in a fiery crash at an airport near Smolensk in Russia.

Among the dead is Lech Kaczynski, Poland’s president who was en route to a memorial to honor Polish victims of a WW II massacre by the Soviet KGB.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Photos of 29 March protest in Portland by Q Madp It has been a while since Portland, Oregon played witness and host to a serious protest, but the chance came Monday when about 200 people gathered to show their unhappiness over two recent Portland Police shootings.

Many in the crowd wore masks. Their anger over the police officer-involved shootings in recent months came on the second month anniversary of Aaron Campbell's shooting.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Traveling Vietnam Wall A place for Hope and Healing for many Veterans, Families and Friends. The 1000 Flags will be on display by 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 26th in Newport Oregon, at the Newport Facilities in South Beach.

Organizers say there will also be a special Flag Presentation at 5:30 p.m. and an Honorable Service Medal presentation at 6:00 p.m. Families with flags being dedicated to a loved one will be escorted by a military member from the USANG and a person from the USCG, Yaquina Bay Station.
