President Assad Meets Oman FM, Reiterates Elimination of Terrorism

The two sides discussed developments in the region, particularly the war against terrorism in Syria.

(DAMASCUS / SALEM, Ore.) - Yusuf bin Alawi Syrian President Bashar al -Assad has reiterated that eliminating terrorism will contribute to the success of any political track in Syria.

According to the official Syrian news agency SANA, President Assad made the remarks on Monday in Damascus after he received Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi.

According to the report, someone close to Geagea in France said that his physical and mental condition have deteriorated and doctors have prevented his return to Lebanon to continue treatment.

(LONDON) - Nepal On 3 August 2015, three human rights defenders were severely injured during a violent crackdown by the police on participants of a peaceful protest. They are Ms Kamala Hemchuri, Ms Durga Sob and Mr Ganesh BK.

The protest called on the authorities to respect the political rights of the Dalit community and to include them in the drafting process of the country’s new constitution.

(LONDON) - General Prayut Chan-o-cha I am writing to express our deep concern regarding the ongoing judicial and other harassment of human rights defenders, including journalists and researchers who report on human trafficking, or otherwise bring to light violations of labour and migrants' rights, and the lack of accountability for labour rights violations in Thailand.

A case in point is the upcoming final preliminary hearing on 20th July in a criminal defamation and computer crimes case, brought by Natural Fruit against researcher Andy Hall.
