Documentary Explores Students Bringing Water to Kenyan Community

Prgram is a collaboration between OSU's College of Engineering and University Relations and Marketing.

(CORVALLIS) - Kel Wer documentary on Kenya water In July of 2012, a group of Oregon State University students traveled to the small village of Lela, Kenya, to help the community gain access to safe water.

The story of their journey will be told in Kel Wer ("to bring song" in the native Dholuo language), a documentary that will debut at Kearney Hall on Tuesday, April 30.

Third Major Oil Spill in a Week: Shell Pipeline Breaks in Texas

Similar spills are underway in Arkansas and Canada.

(WEST COLUMBIA, Tx. RT) - Texas oil spill by Shell Thousands of gallons of oil have spilled from a pipeline in Texas, the third accident of its kind in only a week.

Shell Pipeline, a unit of Royal Dutch Shell Plc, shut down their West Columbia, Texas, pipeline last Friday after electronic calculations conducted by the US National Response Center showed that upwards of 700 barrels had been lost, amounting to almost 30,000 gallons of crude oil.
