Michigan Coalition Against Tar Sands 3 Sentenced to Time Served Plus 13 Months Probation

Following over a month of jail time after a guilty verdict by a jury, the MICATS 3 were sentenced to time served plus 13 months probation by Ingham County Circuit Judge William Collette
(DETROIT) -
“Though my heart aches for moments I will miss, I regret nothing,” wrote Lisa Leggio from her cell in Ingham County Jail while awaiting sentencing.
On March 5, Leggio, and her fellow MICATS (Michigan Coalition Against Tar Sands) members Barbara Carter and Vicci Hamlin were sentenced to 13 months of probation, plus $45,000 in restitution charges to the police..
