Did loud mouthed local surfers in Malibu crowd the Civil Rights of 'Paps' or Paparazzi?

(MALIBU) - Malibu beachgoer throws sand in the face of a visiting paparazzi After watching the video closely, I'm fairly convinced that the so-called local surfers in Malibu who attacked a Paparazzi crew last June, are a creepy expression of an American mindset that thinks it can randomly activate the "fascist" button and pretend like they live above the Civil Rights of others.

The Paparazzi are a component of American society driven by a mindless occupation with the private lives of celebrities. It isn't always pretty but it is generally legal.

Patrick Swayze Gravely Ill But Very Much Alive

One source reports that Swayze has been undergoing pioneering Cyberknife radiotherapy at California's Stanford University Medical Centre, and had been making a steady recovery from the illness.

Does Obama Have Control of the DEA?

Has the time arrived for Obama to take his gloves off and overhaul the DEA from top to bottom, or is it even an option?

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com The DEA is defying President Barack Obama's word that the Department of Justice would no longer be used to harrass and arrest owners and operators of medical marijuana dispensaries.

"I would not have the Justice Department prosecuting and raiding medical marijuana dispenseries; it is not a good use of our resources," then Presidential Contender Obama said, on August 21st 2007.

The group Americans for Safe Access reports that on Thursday, the Drug Enforcement Administration, teeming with officials from the Bush Administration, raided a medical cannabis dispensary in South Lake Tahoe, California.

Joaquin Walks the Line and Takes a Fall.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Joaquin Phoenix's new look Last week, The Rolling Stone reported that Joaquin Phoenix was making his move from actor to rapper official. He announced that he would mark the event with a performance at a Las Vegas club.

The video below attests to what this looks like, and sounds like, and it isn't good. The Rolling Stone suggested that the performance was nothing short of a train wreck, with Phoenix struggling to even put sentences together during this official debut.

Making matters all the worse, Phoenix fell off the stage at the conclusion of his one-song set.

Jackson takes a break from his role as a featured variety performer for Spellbound – The Greatest Magic Show on Earth.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Illusionist Jackson Rayne Illusionist Jackson Rayne is performing at Salem's Elsinore Theater tonight at 7:30 PM. This former student of Willamette University today, is today a Las Vegas-based magician/ Jackson topped one of Harry Houdini's underwater escape records five years ago; the last time he performed in Salem, Oregon.

Rayne is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem. His 90 minute magic production is set for Friday, December 12th, at 7:30 PM. at the Historic Elsinore Theatre. “I got my start performing for the Silent Movie Series at the Elsinore,” says Rayne. “I’m thrilled to be coming home to Salem. I have so many memories here and I can’t wait to share my magic with the community.”
