Louisiana Attorney: `Largest Criminal Penalty in U.S. History Still Not Enough`

The Deepwater Horizon rig, 50 miles off the Louisiana coast, sank and spewed an estimated 206 million gallons of crude oil.

(LONDON) - Deepwater Horizon explosion British oil company BP said Thursday it is in advanced talks with U.S. agencies about settling criminal and other claims from the Gulf of Mexico well blowout two years ago.

A person familiar with the deal says BP agrees with U.S. to pay billions of dollars in fines related to the spill.

(DHAKA, Bangladesh) - Survivors of sinking out of Bangladesh A mechanized fishing boat, with 110 job-seekers on board headed for Malaysia, capsized in the Bay of Bengal near Moheskhalia at Teknaf In Bangladesh early Wednesday.

Fifty-one of the people were rescued and 10 of them are in the custody of Border Guard Bangladesh, officials said.

(SOMERDALE, NJ) - Taxi cabs in Hoboken, New Jersey We’re okay. Power never went out. The damage in New Jersey and New York is severe, especially along the coastline.

We’re a good 40 miles west of the coast. Whole communities on and near the coast are destroyed. Railroad cars were washed-up on the NJ turnpike.
