Reckless Driver Causes Roll Over on Highway 26

Jeff Bowman was cited and released at the scene for Reckless Driving, an "A" misdemeanor, which carries a maximum fine of $3,710.00 and up to one year in jail.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - On October 14, 2010, at 11:20 a.m. the Beaverton Police Department received a call of a roll over crash on Highway 26, east of the 185th Avenue exit.

Witnesses said a car was entering the highway at a high rate of speed when it ran into a large truck, causing the truck to roll.

Serious Injury Traffic Crash West of Lebanon on Highway 34

(LEBANON, Ore.) - Two people were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle head-on crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 34 about one mile west of Lebanon. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the Albany Area Command office are continuing the investigation.

According to OSP Senior Trooper Brad Hales, on October 5, 2010 at approximately 4:40 p.m. a 2009 Toyota Prius four-door driven by Alma Mix, age 45, from Albany, was eastbound on Highway 34 near milepost 16 when, for an unknown reason, it traveled into the westbound lane collided head-on with a 2010 Toyota pickup driven by Daniel Rackham, age 27, from Albany.

Serious Injury Traffic Crash Highway 26 East of Sandy

(SANDY, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into a two-vehicle Friday afternoon serious injury traffic crash on Highway 26 east of Sandy.

According to OSP Trooper Dessa DeForest, on October 1, 2010 at approximately 5:19 p.m. a 2007 Freightliner Sprinter van driven by Anglina Wilson, age 36, from Sandy, was eastbound on Highway 26 at Weber Road near milepost 31 moving from the right lane to the left lane to pass another vehicle.

Dump Truck Crashes into Car on SW Hwy 99

Both injured parties are expected to live.

(SHERWOOD, Ore.) - On Thursday, September 30, 2010, at about 5:37 p.m., Sheriff's deputies were called to a crash on SW Highway 99 and SW Chapman Road. This area is in unincorporated Washington County south of the City of Sherwood.

Deputies investigating the crash determined that a silver Chrysler Concord, driven by 19-year-old Angelica Armijo of Sherwood, pulled out in front of a 1976 Chevrolet C-60 dump truck driven by 52-year-old Ronald Koch of St. Paul.

Salem ODOT Worker Injured When Car Careens Through Construction Zone

Alcohol consumption by the 17 year old driver appears to be a major contributing factor

(SALEM, Oregon) - Shortly after 9:00 PM September 29th, an ODOT worker suffered serious, but not life threatening, injuries when a 1999 Honda Accord driven by a 17 year old male from Salem lost control and drove into a road construction project. The worker, 46 year old Philip Lane of Corvallis, was standing on the side of the roadway on Kuebler Blvd by I-5 when he was struck by the westbound car. After the vehicle struck Lane, it continued until it struck the rear of a street sweeper, causing substantial damage.

Highway 26 quadruple fatal

(WARM SPRINGS, Ore.) - On September 29, 2010 at about 10:15 p.m. a Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 26 near milepost 107. The vehicle had been seen earlier by witnesses fleeing the scene of a burglary where gunshots had been reported.

When the deputy walked up to the suspect vehicle during the traffic stop, the driver sped away from the deputy at a high rate of speed. The deputy returned to his patrol vehicle and pursued after the suspect vehicle which was out of sight. Approximately a mile and a half west of the traffic stop location, the deputy drove upon the suspect vehicle which had crashed with a Warm Springs Police Department patrol car that was traveling the opposite direction.

Horse - Vehicle Collision Updated

(RAINIER, Ore.) - One person was injured and a horse with an unborn foal died following a Tuesday night collision on Highway 30 near Lost Creek Road west of Rainier.

OSP Investigating Highway 99E Crash

(OREGON CITY) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into a critical injury crash Monday afternoon on Highway 99E just north of the Interstate 205 overpass. The southbound lanes of Highway 99E were restricted to one lane for about 3 hours during the investigation.

According to OSP Trooper Ted Moisan, on September 27, 2010 at approximately 3:35 p.m. a 2004 Mazda van driven by Melanie Miekey, age 31, from Canby, was stopped for a red stop light southbound on Highway 99E just north of the Interstate 205 overpass. A 2003 Harley Davidson operated by Harla Jane Lakin, age 55, from Oregon City, crashed into the back of the van ejecting LAKIN over the top of the van and onto the roadway.

Salem Police Officer Makes U-Turn and Causes Traffic Crash

Police say there were no injuries in the accident.

(Salem, Oregon) - Just after 8:00 Tuesday morning, Officer Grant Davis, 39 years of age, was eastbound on Mission St SE at Hawthorne Avenue in a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria when he noticed a crashed vehicle on the westbound side.

PGR Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash

(OREGON CITY) - A man riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash that was witnessed by his wife, deputies said. Q Madp of IraqWarHeroes.org, says the rider was with the Patriot Guard and on his way to help honor an American killed fighting in the wars overseas.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been escorting military funerals for many years. Madp says the man will be missed.
