The Citizens United debacle, in which the Supreme Court sided with the wealthy elite against the interests of Americans by allowing corporations to spend unlimited money to buy elections, just took another step forward.

(SALEM) - Citizen activists took to the streets of Salem yesterday in protest of the Supreme Court decision in the McCutcheon case.

They say this recent decision tosses corporate integrity back into the dark ages.

Why Corporations Prefer State Regulation

And the 1% responsible for these disasters have bought the media and bamboozled enough of the public to make “government regulation” a dirty word.

(PORTLAND) - Within the past two months, several major environmental disasters have exposed the failure of state regulators, who serve the corporations they “regulate” as their clients, to protect the lives and health of the public.

In most cases, state regulators are executive branch agencies reporting to governors and subject to oversight by state legislatures.

Her attorney asks if she might be allowed one free hand in order to take notes. The nun has been convicted of high crimes trumped up after her bold political protest embarrassed the state.

(WASHINGTON DC) - The ambassadors of 18 countries handed over the documents at a U.N. ceremony on the first anniversary of the General Assembly's adoption of the Arms Trade Treaty, which is aimed at stemming the global illegal weapons trade, estimated at between $60 billion and $85 billion. The new ratifications brings the total number to 31, more than half of the 50 needed for the pact to enter into force.

Five of the world's top 10 arms exporters — Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain — turned in their ratification documents at the ceremony.

Obamacare and the McCaran-Ferguson Act`s Exemption from the AntiTrust Laws

What is needed is a repeal of the McCarran-Fergusan Act exemption for the health insurance industry.

(SALEM) - On March 24, 2014 I was contacted by a man who claimed to be a member of the Westboro Baptist Church, the “God Hates Fags” military funeral protestors. He claimed to have information that “Americans need to know”.

He warned me that I could suffer consequences if I chose to report it. He said that I was chosen because he had read some of my stories and believed that I would report it and that Salem-News.com would have the courage to publish it.

I was a military policeman in Saigon in 1972, so I know a little about police work. A military policeman’s motto is, “assist, protect, defend.”

(MCMINNVILLE) - An Oregon state police officer, David Peterson, waved me over at random, lied to me about why he pulled me over, then gave me a citation for doing something that he completely fabricated.

Based on the number of people in court fighting officer Peterson’s tickets, I assume he often tells tales of fantasy under oath to get convictions.

The Administration`s Hypocrisy

The U.S. has threatened to attack Syria and Iran. And Mr. Obama is using drones to kill people in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia without even calling it war. There are many more examples.

(RICHMOND) - Secretary of State John Kerry (March 2) described Russia’s action in Crimea as "an incredible act of aggression… You just don't in the 21st century behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country on completely trumped up pretext," he said.

And President Barack Obama (March 17) declared “Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected, and international law must be upheld.”
