(OAKLAND / SALEM) - One of the demonstrators in Oakland Thousands are in the streets of Oakland over the Manslaughter verdict entered against a BART Officer who shot a 22-year old man to death, later saying he confused his police revolver with a Taser.

The officer weeped as he testified that the shooting of Oscar Grant was a tragic accident caused by accidentally grabbing his firearm instead of an electric Taser weapon.

U.S. Coast Guard Identifies Crew of Crashed MH-60 Helicopter Crew

U.S. Coast Guard identifies MH-60 helicopter crew‏.

(SEATTLE) - Scene of helicopter crash that claimed the life of three members of the U.S. Coast Guard The U.S. Coast Guard has identified the one survivor and three crew members who lost their lives, Wednesday, after their MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crashed in the waters off of James Island, near La Push, Wash.

Lt. Lance D. Leone, 29, of Ventura, Calif., survived the crash and is being treated at a Seattle hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He is married.

(MENDOCINO, Calif.) - KZYX&Z On March 23, 2010, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors enacted an ordinance that quadrupled the number of medical marijuana plant that can be grown on a parcel of land.

The new ordinance allows gardens up to 99 plants, if growers apply for a variance to the county's 25-plant limit. In other words, the new ordinance requires proper licensing and law enforcement scrutiny.

Amber Alert Canceled for 16-Year Old California Girl

The girl and the suspect have not been found at this time, but their vehicle was located in San Diego.

(SANTA ANA) - The victim is Jordan McKenzie Stuart, a white, 16-year old female.  The suspect is Patrick Porter, a white male, 39 years old. The State of California issued the Amber Alert today, in regard to a girl who was reportedly abducted in Overland Park, Kansas on Thursday, 3 June 2010.

They are believed to be in the Orange County, California area based on cell phone and credit card use. It is believed that the suspect fled with the girl to avoid prosecution in Kansas.
