Governor`s Advisory Committee on Motorcycle Safety to meet Feb. 16

Oregon leads the nation for best practices in motorcycle rider licensing and training practices.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Governor’s Advisory Committee on Motorcycle Safety will meet at 4 p.m., February 16 at 4040 Fairview Industrial Dr. SE, Alsea Conference Room, in Salem.

The agenda includes discussion of Oregon legislative bills related to motorcyclists, reports from liaison organizations, committee discussion of website content, officer elections and more.

(SALEM, Ore.) - What started out as a huge gathering of bikers enjoying food and drink ended with nine people dead, 18 wounded, and 170 arrested in Waco, Texas on Sunday.

Police say at least 5 outlaw biker clubs were involved in a deadly shootout with each other and police in a restaurant parking lot.

Thunder rang from the skies but it had to compete for attention on Saturday

(SALEM, Ore.) - That rumble wasn't just the thunder in Salem, Oregon on Saturday. The wind and rain from the stormy skies had nothing on the hundreds of motorcycles on the ground.

Onlookers were enthralled as they watched 475 motorcycles, mostly Harley Davidsons, parade through downtown Salem in a Farewell pack ride for their friend and colleague, Jason Hause.
