White House Requests Meeting with Seattle Times to Bully Against Pro-Pot Editorials

The ex-Washingtonian is expected Friday to discuss pot with the paper.

(SEATTLE) - Gil Kerlikowske going to Seattle The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy director Gil Kerlikowske wanted to fly to Seattle to speak personally with the paper's full editorial board after they ran an editorial supporting a bill to tax and regulate marijuana.

Bruce Ramsey, the editorial writer, says the White House called “right after our editorial ran, so I drew the obvious conclusion... he didn’t like our editorial.”

Seized Horses Near Silverton Neglected, Officials Say

Five horses were on the property.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Neglected horses, Marion County, Oregon 25 Feb 2011 Deputies and volunteers from two horse rescue organizations joined forces to remove five horses from a field in Silverton on Friday morning.

A caller reporting neglect Thursday, saying the horses had been left by their owners in a field in the 6900 block of Quarry Road NE, outside of Silverton.

A professor emeritus at Purdue University finds a correlation between Roundup Ready crops and a new, previously unknown organism that may cause of animal miscarriages and infertility.

However, Huber, who has 40 years experience working as a scientist for "professional and military agencies that evaluate and prepare for natural and manmade biological threats, including germ warfare and disease outbreaks," believes this should be treated as an emergency until more research can confirm or disprove these initial findings.
