Intel, Hillsboro, Washington County Announce $100 Billion Investment Agreement

In 2012, Intel's payroll amounted to $2.8 billion causing a ripple effect that led to a gross total of $327.7 million in state income taxes and local property taxes in support of public services statewide.

(HILLSBORO, Ore. ) - Intel Corporation Hillsboro Representatives of Washington County, the City of Hillsboro and Intel Corporation announced on Monday that a proposed agreement has been reached for Intel to invest up to $100 billion in the county.

The announcement culminates negotiations under Oregon's Strategic Investment Program, a private-public partnership that has driven billions of dollars of investment in Oregon over the last two decades.

Two Small Devices Detonate in Oregon Town

Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact the Washington County Sheriff's office.

(ALOHA, Ore. ) - salem oregon police A small explosive device went off inside a portable restroom during a softball game injuring one person at an Aloha park.

The bomb squad reported the device was made from chemicals that are available at most department stores, and would detonate when they combined.

Oregonians Tell Washington County Sheriff: ``We Won`t Forgive. We Won`t Forget``

After years of community pressure across Oregon, a federal judge’s ruling forced over two dozen county sheriffs to decide to stop honoring requests for ICE holds.

(PORTLAND) - Oregonians Tell Washington County Sheriff: ''We Won't Forgive. We Won't Forget'' Today, Oregon DreamActivists and other supporters released a statement saying “We won’t forgive or forget the actions of the sheriff. We will continue struggling for an end to all deportations, for the right to migrate, and for an end to police violence.”

The statement is a response to the Washington County Sheriff’s decision to stop honoring requests from Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to hold undocumented individuals for transfer to ICE custody.

(HILLSBORO, Oregon) - Chevy Cobalt upside down after wreck Today, at about 12:30 a.m., 19-year-old Stephanie Curtiss of Rock Creek was driving west on NW West Union Road, just west of NW Cornelius Pass Road. She lost control of the car as she entered a curve with a suggested speed (yellow speed sign) of 35 m.p.h.

Her family says they are concerned for her safety and miss her during the holidays; Elizabeth is not in trouble, she just needs to return to her home

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 16-year old Elizabeth Donald 16-year old Elizabeth Donald is missing from the Portland area; now classified as a Endangered Runaway. Elizabeth was last seen on the 24th of November 2010. Police say she could be in the company of one or more adult males.

Elizabeth's ears are pierced, her nicknames are Lyz, Lizzie and Ellen. She has also gone by the name of Ellen in the past and also Madelyn.

Woman Who Claimed to be Raped and Kidnapped Recants Story

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Washington County Sheriff badge Today Sheriff's detectives re-interviewed the victim in Tuesday's Kidnapping/Rape case that allegedly occurred in the community of Cedar Hills. They confronted Twenty-seven-year-old Amada Gonzalez-Herrera (from Beaverton) with facts that contradicted her claims of being kidnapped and raped. She previously claimed that a man got in her car while she was at a stop sign and subsequently raped and robbed her.

Detectives have been diligently working on the case since Mrs. Gonzalez-Herrera reported the alleged crime.

Woman Robbed and Sexually Assaulted in her Car

(CEDAR HILLS, Ore.) - Washington County Sheriff's Office Police say a woman was kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and robbed today in the Cedar Hills Area when a man jumped in her car at a stop sign.

Detectives are still interviewing the victim and do not have a specific location where this occurred. They believe it was in the area of the Cedar Hills Shopping Center, Located on SW Park Way.

Missing Disabled Man Found Unconscious, but Alive

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Jonathan Cupps dmv photo A K9 team from North Oregon Regional Search and Rescue (NORSAR) Located 30-year-old Jonathan Cupps just before 11:00 p.m. tonight. The team had been searching along side Sheriff’s Search and Rescue personnel and volunteers from the Washington County Rescue Explorer Post 877.

Jonathan was located about a half mile from his house lying in a wooded area unconscious. He was hypothermic and was transported to Emanuel Hospital for treatment. It is unknown at this time how long Jonathan was down on the ground, but with temperatures expected in the 30’s overnight it is likely that Mr. Cupps, who was only wearing shorts and a t-shirt, would not have made it though the night.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Jonathan Cupps DMV Photo Today Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies took a report of a missing man in the North Plains area of unincorporated Washington County.

Thirty-year-old Jonathan Cupps left his home at about 12:00 a.m. this morning. He lives at 24647 NW Sky Ranch Road, North Plains.
