Oregon City Woman Hit, Killed on Highway 213

Police would like to hear from anyone who traveled in the area prior to 12:46 a.m., and may have information on this case.

(OREGON CITY, Ore. ) - Death Investigation Oregon State Police with the assistance of Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and Oregon City Police Department, are continuing the investigation into early Saturday morning's pedestrian involved fatal crash on Highway 213 near Meyers Road in Oregon City.

Preliminary investigation indicates 44-year-old Karen Erie from Oregon City, was lying in the right southbound lane of Highway 213 just south of Meyers Road.

Oregon Man Arrested After Exposing His Genitals to Female Cashier

The clerk was able the second time to get the man's license plate, call 911, and identify the suspect's car to police.

(OREGON CITY, Ore. ) - Clackamas County Sheriff A 51-year-old Oregon City man is behind bars Monday after he allegedly intentionally exposed his genitals to a female store clerk, not once, but twice.

Police say the man entered the Plaid Pantry store at the corner of Leland road and Warner Milne road walked up to the counter on two separate occasions and showed the female employee his genitals.

Deported Felon Arrested Following Menacing Incident Near Oregon City

The suspect was positively identified as Daniel Jimenez-Barragan, age 28, a deported offender on felony probation supervision out of Multnomah County Department of Community Justice (MCDCJ).

(OREGON CITY) - Daniel Jimenez-Barragan Oregon State Police (OSP), with the assistance of Clackamas County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), arrested a 28-year old man Wednesday night on numerous charges related to an investigation that the suspect shot at another vehicle while traveling on Highway 213 off Interstate 205.

Subsequent investigation determined a BB gun was used and the suspect was in possession of heroin.

(UPDATE) Two Girls Struck by Car

A third girl, the patient's older sister, was also on scene but was not injured as she was not hit by the vehicle.

(OREGON CITY OR) - Scene where two girls were struck by a car Just after noon today two young girls were struck by a car while crossing the street in down town Oregon City. Clackamas Fire Engine 15 arrived to find two female patients ages 7 and 10 down on the ground.

The 10 year old girl had minor injuries and was taken to OHSU by American Medical Response (AMR) in good condition. The 7 year old girl suffered life threatening injuries after being struck by the vehicle and was taken to OHSU by AMR in serious condition.

Girls Soccer Coach Arrested for Sexual Abuse Involving 12-Year Old

The alleged victim in this case was an unrelated 12-year old player on a club team coached by the suspect.

(OREGON CITY) - Sex Abuse suspect Joseph Christopher Leonetti 43 year old Joseph Christopher Leonetti, a local club soccer coach in the Oregon City area, was arrested today on five counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.

A news release from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, relates Leonetti having a lengthy history of coaching girls soccer, including coaching the West Linn High School Girls' soccer team from 1997-2006.

OSP Investigating Highway 99E Crash

(OREGON CITY) - Salem-News.com Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into a critical injury crash Monday afternoon on Highway 99E just north of the Interstate 205 overpass. The southbound lanes of Highway 99E were restricted to one lane for about 3 hours during the investigation.

According to OSP Trooper Ted Moisan, on September 27, 2010 at approximately 3:35 p.m. a 2004 Mazda van driven by Melanie Miekey, age 31, from Canby, was stopped for a red stop light southbound on Highway 99E just north of the Interstate 205 overpass. A 2003 Harley Davidson operated by Harla Jane Lakin, age 55, from Oregon City, crashed into the back of the van ejecting LAKIN over the top of the van and onto the roadway.

PGR Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash

(OREGON CITY) - Fred Brehony, shown here with his wife, was loved by many. A man riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash that was witnessed by his wife, deputies said. Q Madp of IraqWarHeroes.org, says the rider was with the Patriot Guard and on his way to help honor an American killed fighting in the wars overseas.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been escorting military funerals for many years. Madp says the man will be missed.

76-year old Woman from Oregon City Located and She`s Safe

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (SAR) personnel and volunteers located a missing woman.

(OREGON CITY) - 76-year old Dorothy UPDATE: Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. Dorothy Beyer, the missing and reportedly despondent 76-year-old has been located.

Dorothy Beyer was located by Search & Rescue personnel a short distance from her residence on S. Hoffman Road, in Oregon City.

Sternwheeler Willamette Queen Runs Aground Near Oregon City

No injuries or serious damage was reported.

(OREGON CITY) - The Willamette Queen The Coast Guard is responding to the grounding of the sternwheeler Willamette Queen near Oregon City Sunday. Reports indicate that the 87-foot riverboat was being escorted by two Coast Guard Auxiliary vessels when it ran aground with 80 passengers and eight crew on board at approximately 5:30 p.m.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Astoria, two Coast Guard 25-foot smallboat crews from Station Portland, and a tugboat from Newburg, Ore. were dispatched to the scene, while the two Auxiliary vessels stayed with the Willamette Queen.
