(SALEM, Ore.) - A Portland Police car with a crew from TV Show COPS aboard, collided head on with a Subaru Outback that drifted into their lane, according to reports. It happened at SE 136/137th & SE Stark, Portland. Q Madp of IraqWarHeroes.org, photographed the aftermath of the crash in great detail and share the images with our Salem-News.com viewers. Statements indicate that Tuesday night at 9:00 p.m., a Portland Police Officer was driving his police car and was hit by an oncoming Subaru Outback that had veered into the officers lane of traffic. This accident occured in the area of Southeast 136th and Stark Street. A press release indicated that two men from the show COPS were riding in the patrol car with the officer when it was hit. The officer, the COPS crew, and the driver of the other vehicle were all transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The Portland Police Bureau's Major Crash Team responded to the scene to investigate this accident. Their initial investigation shows that the driver of the Outback was traveling Westbound on Southeast Stark Street and the officer was driving Eastbound. It appears that the driver of the Outback veered into the officer's lane and hit the police car head on. The show COPS has been in Portland for the last six weeks filming episodes with the Portland Police for their TV program. This investigation is ongoing and additional details of the investigation will be released tomorrow when investigators complete their investigation.
