Portland Police Investigate Stabbing In NW Portland

Detectives are responding and will continue the investigation.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - This evening, Tuesday September 28, 2010, at approximately 9:21 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the 600 Block of Northwest 10th Avenue on the report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived in the area to find the 31-year-old male victim bleeding from the neck with a stab wound.

The victim was transported to OHSU with a non-life-threatening injury.

Officers at Northwest 10th and Irving Street located a person-of-interest matching the suspect description given by witnesses. This person has been detained at this point in the investigation. Witnesses told police that just before the stabbing, the victim and suspect were arguing over a beer.

Detectives are responding and will continue the investigation.
