Vancouver Cheerleading Coach Arrested for Sexual Misconduct

The greatest indictment against all star cheerleading is the attitude of the girls on this page. Neil is an admitted/convicted pedophile. All Star Cheer should be banned for the attitude it instills in girls. I can only pray for you kids, for the damage this "sport" has done to you, and for the damage you'll all do to your kids someday. Praising a pedophile... Why not do a cheer for all the rapists in prison too?

I was a cheerleader at the gym from the day it opened to the day it closed. The day i found out about this will probably be one of the worst day of my lives especially when i found out they were closing down the gym! VCA was my home and my family, distraction from trouble, my motivation to keep grades up. Neil was the most amazing coach u could ever ask for and also you guys really dont know him because he NEVER touched any of us the wrong way. He treated all of us like he was our father, i remember when my boyfriend was calling me during practice, haa Neil answered the phone and told him i don't have time for boys. To this day, I still love Neil so much and I always will. VCA was the best thing i ever had in my life.

I have known Neil and of Neil since before I started cheer, he is an amazing coach and person. That girl who decided to have sex is just as guilty. Neil never came on to his students and kept strict policy. If that girl wanted sex she obviously went to him first.  I am here to support Neil in whatever happens. I have been raped and molested and have no feeling for men like that. But honestly the girl knows what sex is and its not just his fault. I cant believe that he is in sooo much trouble for this bs, when the guy who raped me got no time and the guy who molested me got no time, this breaks my heart because I went to the hospital and police and they pleaded guilty and neil gets a worse punishment then the two guys who honestly RUINED MY LIFE! I pray for neil and hope the BEST for him!!!!!!

No, you retard. That girl was only 16 at the time and regardless of her age, Neil acted unprofessionally. He was the Adult, remember? Or are you admitting that Neil was so weak as a man that he couldn't resit the advances of an under aged, student? Either way, that makes Neil a very sick bastard!

Neil is a sick, molesting, gross piece of work. He acted unprofessionally and he knew what he was doing was against the law. He just didn't care because he told her not to tell anybody "because I could get into trouble"! Why would anyone want to support that sicko! He got off easy. I was on the team for about a month and then moved, so I'm not here to judge, I just want to say that none of us really know what happened, so don't judge or point fingers, you might lose some great friendships that way. Just wait and see what happens, you might be suprised.

Neil my life has been torn apart with you and cheer out of my life. I feel like i have no orginization or hope. Tonight has been a really bad night for me. andand its one of those nights i look back and think of all the hard times you had helped me through like this and my bad habbits. please. i know this man wouldnt do anything like they are accusing him of. relize he was the best coach ever. andand he is missed. andand i hope who ever is tryin to accuse him of this relizes how this has impacted not just neils life but the ppl around him! i just wish i could tell him all of this right now. dnkaldnasldk gahh soo upset. i need cheer!

I LOVE VCA MORE THAN ANYTHING and I read on a news website that he wa shuting VCA down and selling it, is that ture? and for all you jerks saying bad things about coach Neil then SHUT UP! I"m sure if we opened your closet we wouldn't just find 1 or 2 skelotons but a hole cematary so SHUT UP losers! and for everybody who knows coach Neil and knows he's not the kind of guy who would do something like that HI FIVE I wish I go go back 2 VCA and but up some signs on the door saying coach Neil ROCKS and inacent intill proven guilty and don't kick somebody who already on the ground. I remember cheerleading camp at the hilton hotel, remember they put duck tape on our doors so we wouldn't go sneek off and TP the hotel LOL and I remember all the awesome competions that was so much fun!

I have been cheering at VCA since it opened. And I want to say that Neil would NEVER EVER do this. He has so much going to for and he is BIG in cheerleading. For all of you people who don't know him. Shut up! you have no right to judge someone that you don't even know. Like for real go get a life. I support Neil 100%! And I always will, VCA in a part of who I am and I will never forget it! I had to leave VCA because of finachial problems. I would never in a million years even think that Neil could do something like this. Wait...NO! I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HE DID NOT!!!! Neil is a very good friend of mine and always will be. Neil just wanted you to know that all of us here at VCA will stand by your side the whole way through! Have no fear because we are all here...and let there be no one in this world to have the ability to take away the gym you have created nor the GREATEST COACHING ability ever away from you. I'm a Cheerleader for Vancouver Cheer Academy and this is my 5th year. Out of all the coaches we have ever had and all the owners, Neil is the best. I hope people notice that all those that actually know Neil and see him on a regular basis to this day, (not back in college) we know that no matter what Neil is an incredible person and we all love, trust and support him. Always will. I only wish that those of you that don't know him and are judging him because of what the news is saying (the new doesn't know him either!) that you would have been granted the amazing gift of knowing Neil. He's an amazing coach and all around person. please remember, innocent until proven guilty. (and people have been proven guilty before even when they're innocent) RED BLACK AND WHITE, THE BEST BY FAR, VANCOUVER CHEER, ALL STAR!

neil is the best cheer coach that i have ever in my entire 10 years of cheering and all of my cheerleading friends agree he NEVER touched anyone that i knew in a weird wayy. he was completely the opposite.... people who keep talking crap about him and dont even know him...STOPP!!! you have no right say that the crap that ur saying..so shut up.. the VCA mom and the others supporting neil.. i completely agree with what you said.. neil will always be in my greatest memories and i wish him the best of luckk.. =]]

Knowing Neil, also knowing people who have attended his academy and knowing what kinds of people they are, and seeing some of those people getting their 15 minutes of fame on the news- I do know these moms and daughters can be petty, lying, sneaky, underhanded, and vindictive. Some cheer moms will do anything just to feel like they have been justified if their daughter doesn't make a team, or doesn't get placed where they want. Innocent until proven guilty right? Those cheer moms are just as bad. Who knows if he did it or not? Only him and the accuser do. Hopefully the truth comes out, and if those who accused him are lying- for shame. Whatever happened to being a cheerleader for the fun and the spirit of things? Now it's pushy moms who'll do anything to live their lives through their daughters, and raising daughters to be no better...such a waste of talent and time- don't you think? It ruins cheerleading for those who truly love the sport, versus the people who do it for the status and the skirt.....

I knew Neil personally in college and I have to say that I am not surprised. Neil is a great guy, a tremendously talented coach and cheerleader, but he was always a player and a real smooth talker. Stupid on him for having sex with a minor in the first place. This girl's mother should partly be to blame.

I think all of the mothers and fathers and cheerleaders of VCA should think twice before you accuse Neil Finger of ever committing such a violation. He is a man of integrity, pride, and operates with strict ethics and morals. Where were the girls parents, how was this girl raised. Don't be too quick to point a finger as I truly believe that the parent needs to take a closer look at themselves. We stand behind Neil Finger 100% and will keep him in our prayers. He is a good man and a wonderful coach and a man whom I trust!!

I definitely agree with mm, what did happen to innocent until proven guilty, he was my coach last year, he was, no wait, is a great guy, he always tried his best to be very professional always asking us for our input on how he can be a better more professional coach, you moms are just judging, what skeletons do you have in your closet, you don't even know him. shame on you
