(PORTLAND, Ore.) - I felt bad when I started looking at the photos of a 32-year old Oregon woman who was by all accounts, healthy, functional and attractive when first photographed by police in 2001. Georgia Weise is an example, an example of what not to do. The consequences for her actions are more apparent with each evolving mug shot. I have to admit that she looked like so many people I have met through the years, and I hope this story might lead to her somehow leading a better life some day. I had to wonder what Georgia Nancy Weise, born August 9th, 1971, would look like if she had chosen a different life's path, or maybe it is the other way around. Sometimes circumstances have a lot to do with a person's decisions. Maybe Georgia will help people in the end without even trying. A famous photo series released by police in Oregon a few years ago shows a similar story; a woman who uses meth and goes from attractive to haggard in a very short number of years. Those shocking images have become a tool in the arsenal of today's meth fighters. This woman's appearance is not quite as extreme, but the change is vast and nobody could miss it. Washington County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Dave Thompson says Weise has been passing through their revolving doors for six years now. Her appearance in the video clearly shows what the effects of a criminal life and drug abuse can do to a person. At this time Georgia Weise, who also uses the name Georgia Williams, is wanted by the Washington County Sheriff's Office for a first degree burglary charge. However, by the way it looks, she could use the jail more than it could use her. Thompson says the current warrant is a felony, and he believes she is in the Portland area. "Ms. Weise has a long criminal history involving drugs, car thefts, burglaries and parole violations." Georgia Nancy Weise is a white female, she is five foot seven inches tall, and weighs 130 pounds. Weise's hair color changes as the photos indicate, but police believe she has brown hair at this time. Her eyes are blue. Thompson hopes that anyone who has seen Georgia Weise will contact his agency. If you know her whereabouts please call Washington County Non-Emergency Dispatch at 503-629-0111. _________________________________________
