Greg Lemond helps in search for Mark Bosworth

Friends, family, volunteers and people who never even met Mark are posting fliers wherever they can - anyone with information about Mark’s disappearance is asked to call the tip line: 541-957-2099.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Three-time Tour De France winner Greg Lemond showed his support today for the search efforts to find Mark Bosworth, a Cycle Oregon volunteer who disappeared Friday, September 16 in Riddle, Oregon.

Justin Houck, a close friend and co-worker of Mark's, met Lemond today at a cycling event in Hood River, Oregon called the Echelon Gan Fondo.

Lemond was very happy to help bring more attention to the search for Mark who is an avid cyclist, two time cancer survivor and beloved friend and father.

Lemond expressed concern for Mark and his family and offered to helpthem spread the word about Mark's disappearance by posing for the attached photo and posting information on his Facebook page.

Background on Mark's disappearance:Mark disappeared late on the night of Friday, September 16 in Riddle, Oregon, after volunteering with Cycle Oregon. Mark has battled cancer in the past and appeared confused on the night he went missing, as well as in the days prior. Doctors say he may be having short term memory problems and may think he currently lives in New York or other cities he frequently visited decades ago.

Friends, family, volunteers and people who never even met Mark are posting fliers where ever they can.

Mention case number 11-3534. A $10,000 reward is being offered by Deckers Outdoor Corporation, which employs Mark’s wife Julie.
