(SALEM, Ore.) - A news group in Oregon has been on a path toward reinventing the way news is presented in the United States for the past five years. Salem-News.com is staffed by a team of volunteer writers and every one has invested a great deal of time, money and labor, to get to this point.

Three weeks ago, we launched a video newscast which is the first of its type, as a local origination program that is not a byproduct of the Portland television news media. There have been some great moments already and a lot of hustle. Our group has laid the groundwork for success, and we are very hungry for it.

Tim and Bonnie King both left the regular mainstream media behind, to make a go of Salem-News.com. They need support to keep this site moving. They are looking for both investors and people who just want to help.

Tim has traveled to both Afghanistan and Iraq to cover Oregon Guard soldiers at war. Both have given everything to breathe life into Salem-News.com and on a level of numbers; i.e. visitor counts and page views, it is a very successful venture. Yesterday, 9-24-09, saw 24,400 unique visitors and 51,728 page views. Not bad for a 24-hour period.

Salem-News.com now has a Google page ranking of 5 out of 10. This means our stories sail to the top of Google searches and people are increasingly learning how easy it is to run into a Salem-News.com story almost any time Oregon-related searches are performed.

Our readership begins in Oregon, but branches out to include the nation and also many visitors from Canada and the UK and other European nations.

We even have a writer now in Ukraine, who lives in a sister city of Salem, Oregon.

We need funding and investors are wise and timely to enter the world of new media. We are atypical people, but that is why we have gotten so far with this. We are out of the box, so to speak, and our product is the only one of its kind.

For serious investors, the Business Plan and Executive Summary will be made available. Investment funds will be used to catch up on debts that we have incurred, and also to fund a sales staff, cover the rent payment for our studio, and promote Salem-News.com the way it should be promoted.

There is a lot of money to be made from Internet news, and Salem-News.com was designed to be the first, rather than the only operation of its type in the U.S. In fact there are scores of American cities with a population of 250,000 or more, with very limited news and advertising sources. The newspaper and television industries are seeing decline, while Internet traffic steadily gains and there is no end in sight.

We are fun, honest people with a desire to help the world. We do not and will not accept the type of immoral and even disingenuous advertising that other media does, particularly when it comes to pharmaceutical companies. We are looking for investors who are like minded. Perhaps we will find who we are looking for, perhaps they will find us.
