BREAKING NEWS: 9-1-1 Outage in Clackamas, Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties

Woodburn and Gervais residents are also affected.

Salem-News.com

(SALEM, Ore. ) - 9-1-1 down in portions of Clackamas and northern Marion County.

Colton Telephone subscribers 9-1-1 calls are being routed to the Colton Fire Main Station.

Still no estimated time of it being fixed.

People are being encouraged to use their cell phones for 9-1-1 service instead of calling the fire stations.

Overall, the following areas phones are re-routed: Estacada (Cascade Utilities Customers) 9-1-1 Calls routed to Estacada Fire Station Canby (Canby Telephone Co. Customers) 9-1-1 Calls routed to Canby Fire Station Colton (Colton Telephone Co. Customers) 9-1-1 Calls routed to Colton Fire Station Molalla (Molalla Telephone Service Customers) 9-1-1 Calls routed to a backup line at the 9-1-1 Center.

In all cases, only one call can be handled at a time, if multiple calls are received some callers may get a busy signal.

Cell phones should be operational and capable of reaching Clackamas 9-1-1.

VOIP/Internet phones (i.e. Comcast Digital Voice, Vonage, Skype) should be able to reach Clackamas 9-1-1 as long as the resident has power and internet service.

Using a cell phone or VOIP phone is preferable to calling the local fire station to ensure personnel trained in answering 9-1-1 are available.

In Woodburn and Gervais, callers should use their cell phones to contact 9-1-1 in case of emergency.

Clear Creek Telephone customers calling 9-1-1 will rerouted to the Redland Fire Station.

I don't have a dial tone here in NE Salem. The Qwest online repair system is down at last check.

It would be nice to know why there is an outage.
