PRESS TV's Kaneez Fatima talks to James Morris on US Blasphemy

(TEHRAN) - James Morris critic of Israel Lobby was asked at the out set, Who benefits from such an act ? What kind of backing is Rev. Jones’ initiative receiving from various anti-Islam lobbies in America?

Morris said, Rev Jones is irrelevant in the grander scheme of things, he has just got a congregation of 50 people in Florida.

It is tragic that he is given such a platform internationally in the Media. He poses a threat to US troops in theatre. Morris thinks, there is a larger political agenda behind this.

The problem in America is the pro-Israel bias Media focuses on anything that is anti-Islamic.

He says there is a strong Christian Zionist community in America which is very anti-Islam that could also be supporting this.

He thinks this is being driven by the neoconservatives to set the stage for a war with Iran, by demonizing the Muslim population, like they did with Iraq successfully and push for another war with Iran.

This and the "Mosque" near ground zero are perfect examples of why this country, for all its problems is still the greatest country on the planet. BOTH parties have the right and must to be allowed for us to remain a free people.

While I think that any act that denigrates another's religion is deplorable, I also believe that the fanatics in the Middle East should realize that burning a Koran is not as bad as videotaping someone's beheading.

Ok lets take another track here . The muslims say they want peace and tolerence ,freedom to worship and live as they wish .I have said it before many times .If you love freedom ,want tolerance for your beliefs and actions you must tolerate speach and actions that make your blood boil. This outcry and threats of violence only play into the hands of the propaganda .Now it seems that they really do hate us for our freedom . Excuse me your hate is showing . Im not saying that this whack job isnt showing his hate but peacefull people rational people do not kill over religion . Sticks and stones may break my bones but words [and burning the quran ] will never hurt me . It may hurt your feelings but this is the price of freedom,peace,and tolerence . How about a little love brothers and sisters .Why cant you say what you are doing offends me it makes me angry but I respect your freedom . One last thing Im sorry if this offends you but Blasphemy has zero pull here in a free country where religion and goverment are separate .
