(SALEM) - Just two days ago, Salem-News.com's William Nicholas Gomes wrote, INDIA/PAKISTAN: Remove the Abnormal Visa Restrictions to Ensure Right to Travel and Trade; calling attention to the difficult time people of Indian and Pakistani descent had with regard to visiting their home countries. Joining other voices from Change.org and other groups, Mr. Gomes asked Mr. Raja Pervez Ashraf, Prime Minister of Pakistan, to work with India to resolve these issues that have particular impact on journalists. This weekend it was announced that this long hoped-for political change would indeed take place, we congratulate William for his letter which we are advised was read by Pakistani government. It would not be the first time. Mr. Gomes has twice published open letters regarding events in Pakistan that brought direct response after being published. The following is the report published out of India by IBN Live: Islamabad: The much-awaited liberalised visa agreement between India and Pakistan will be signed on Saturday, introducing for the first time group tourist visas.
