Sep-06-2009 21:30TweetFollow @OregonNews Van Jones: An American With Nothing to Apologize ForPolitical Perspective by Tim King Salem-News.comAmericans are uncomfortable with the notion of raising questions over 9/11, but it may be more unpatriotic not to question the clear and established pattern of lying by the Bush White House.
(SALEM, Ore.) - The man behind the 9/11 statement controversy in Washington D.C., Anthony "Van" Jones, has nobody in the world to apologize to, especially that pudgy idiot Glenn Beck. I have written several times about the absolute and total impossibility of the "official" government story on 9/11, starting with the alleged terrorists' passports being located on the ground almost immediately, conveniently, by federal officials. Mostly unburned and perfectly legible, what a lucky break those passports were. The feds had the case wrapped up in about two hours with fingers cocked and pointed toward the Saudi suspects, which were used as a reason to attack Afghanistan... and then Iraq. Why did Osama bin Laden deny responsibility for the terrorist attacks? Why didn't al Qaeda want to take credit? Wouldn't you think that a terrorist who scored such a big hit on the U.S. would take full credit for it, why else do it? I realize that the American media aired so-called "bin Laden" tapes every time Americans started to calm down back in those first years after September 11th 2001, but only the powers to be know exactly who we were seeing. I can tell you for a fact that it takes about an hour's time, driving around certain parts of Afghanistan, to see five or six men who look startlingly similar to bin Laden; including the white hat and the army jacket. They aren't hard to find. A lot of people in the Mideast say the guy who shows up on the FBI tapes is not bin Laden, but somebody dressed to look like him. The bottom line is that a scientific analysis of the facts of 9/11, the way the government presents them, lead back to the idea that none of it could have happened the way they describe. One of the things I frequently ask people is, "How many buildings came down that day in New York City?" While dealing with intelligent people, I frequently hear the answer, "two buildings."
The plane at the Pentagon would have had more than one or two pieces of visible wreckage, and there would have been something remaining of the titanium engine housings. Federal spokesmen in a Popular Mechanics article called "Debunking the Myths of 9/11" contradict the hell out of each other. In the same article, one states that there is no wreckage of the 757 at the Pentagon, because the plane "turned into something like liquid". Then the other federal spokesman says he "held parts of the crew's uniforms and body parts in his hands". I had to read it twice before I could even believe they had the audacity to print it. One guy says, the plane turned to liquid while the other guy says he's holding the parts of the people who would have been in the very front of the airplane. Besides, government spokesmen, total "suits", do not venture into high security crash areas and handle torn up human remains, it is a biological hazard and these characters don't put themselves at risk that way. Americans are uncomfortable with the notion of imagining such a thing could be possible, but I say it is more unpatriotic not to question a clear and established pattern of lying by the Bush White House. It is not wrong to question your government. Our forefathers like Thomas Jefferson told us it was essential. The list of inconsistencies in that sham of a government investigation, with Ann Coulter calling the wives of firefighters names, is sickening. Rudy Guiliani had the ground zero concrete hauled overseas and away before federal investigators could go over it. The New York firefighters said they recovered the flight recorders and handed them off to federal investigators, yet the FBI says they were never recovered. An FAA spokesman is quoted saying that they are the only domestic crashes that happened in a contained space in history, where the flight recorders were not recovered. Who do you believe?
If your automatic response is "the federal investigators", then you are probably not going to be able to get to the next step. It is a hard one. Nobody wants to believe this kind of stuff, and no, I don't in any way have the answers. Here's another one; jet fuel does not and never could burn hot enough to melt steel. The Trade Towers were specifically designed to withstand the impact of a jet liner; they were among the best in the world. Those who take the time to do the research know that thousands of professors around the country stand behind that. This is where the controversy with Van Jones ties back into it. The twin towers show every sign of having been imploded, and there is a lot of evidence to back that up. The best place to start for those who have the ability to take in the information is found in the documentary Loose Change. The people who designed the buildings are the source of that information, and it is in Loose Change. One of the things I frequently ask people is, "How many buildings came down that day in New York City?" While dealing with intelligent people, I frequently hear the answer, "two buildings." They don't even realize that a third building, known as Building 7, came falling down to the ground at free-fall speed also, nearly eight hours later that day. Beneath it was the gold from the world bank. When they were sifting through the ground zero rubble, one truck was found crushed, filled with gold. Apparently the rest of the trucks with the gold made it out of the building's basement before the implosion took place, forever destroying the evidence. There is ample evidence that the Trade Towers had unusual activity in the elevator shafts for weeks prior to the catastrophic national tragedy. How about the "Put Options?" Don't know about that? Well, the stock market went insane in the days leading up to 9/11. It all revolved around the airlines. Do yourself a favor and watch Loose Change and look at the ample evidence and then ask yourself the question, was 9/11 something that the U.S. government somehow was involved in? A large and ever growing group of red, white and blue people want to know. According to Wikipedia, "In 2004, Jones was one of '100 notable Americans' who signed a '911 Truth Statement' from 911Truth.org. The statement among other things called (referring to the George W. Bush administration) 'for immediate public attention to unanswered questions that suggest that people within the current administration may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war.' On September 3, 2009, after widespread criticism, Jones issued a statement, 'I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever.'" It wasn't enough, Jones ultimately resigned his position in the White House over the matter. It is sad that President Obama can't be the one who could actually lead a new investigation into the confusing and contradicting events of September 11th 2001. But just trying to improve healthcare for poor Americans is an extreme uphill battle being met by strong resistance by angry white Republicans. Imagine what they would do to Obama if he actually sought to find the truth of this matter. Oh yeah, and Jones is also in trouble for calling the republicans "a$#holes". To demonstrate what perfect asses the Fox News talking heads are on the matter, I saw an article published today by Phil Kerpen of FOXNews.com with a headline reading: How Van Jones Happened and What We Need to Do Next What we need to do next, eh Kerpin? Aren't you supposed to be the reporter? It sounds like you are trying to be the guy with the torch leading the peasants up the hill. You have to love it. Fox is as "us versus them" as Bush's neocons ever were. They are the electronic jackasses for today's GOP; the folks who brought you false WMD's, thousands of dead American troops and a lost war in Iraq. Good job republicans, no wonder Jones chose the reference that he did. I think the jig is up. Editor I certainly did not mean you would profit from such a conspiracy, but there are film makers out there that mix a few facts up with fantasy to do just that. They understand exactly what WC Fields was referring to, that is a "sucker is born every minute." I am sorry if you thought I was accusing you of profiting on a bogus conspiracy theory, you seem to smart for that.
Mike DuVall September 9, 2009 12:17 pm (Pacific time)
Editor I simply posted just one link that went to a brief overview dealing with the first responders from the Arlington Fire Department. These are trained and experienced witnesses. I've seen a number of these personnel interviewed over the years and they all commented on the large amount of body parts mixed in with aircraft parts. That makes sense considering that a large jetliner crashed into a building at high speed. Just like it makes sense that the collapse of the World Towers would essentially incinerate anything organic. I was not there when the attack on the Pentagon took place but I have not heard of any plausible evidence from experts that could put any doubt into what happened, happened. It is apparent from a conspiracy perspective that if one element of the conspiracy is made moot, then the rest of it unravels. This is not propaganda on my part, but I don't think that a non-witness can dispute the thousands of non-government and government workers who observed this event. From that perspective, your conspiracy theory is moot. Why not provide the names of some professionals who can dispute the evidence. I would like to think that someone in Congress or the major media would come forward with evidence that would agree with you, or some so-called enemy citizen during a monment of guilty conscience would come forward, and in your scenario there would have to be thousands of those enemy citizens. So, it appears that if there is a buck to be made, then someone will continue to pursue the gullible.
Editor: Mike, I think you are missing the whole point and now you are inferring that I want to make a buck off this. It makes me sick to consider this.
Mike DuVall September 9, 2009 8:08 am (Pacific time)
For those who are interested in learning about the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon, the below link to the first responder Arlington Fire Department may be of assistance. These firefighters are on record talking about both widespread body parts and aircraft parts. One must be cognizant that the Pentagon is a top secret facility, thus security protocols are made for all contingencies from any natural or manmade disaster. For those who don't believe an aircraft attack took place, then you have a mountain of evidence and thousands of witnesses to overcome.

Tim King: OK Mike, but here is one area where your point falls completely down. After the Pentagon was struck, the feds immediately seized video camera from the Hilton, the Chevron station near the building, and the Virginia Highway Department. They tell us that the only clip that they lamely show over and over, 4 frames Mike f-o-u-r frames; and they claim it was a low quality camera. I knew people with tattoo shops in 2001 that shot 30 frames of video like all cameras except the cheapest, I do not nor will I ever believe that the most secure site in America had a friggin' K-Mart camera recording security.
Oh and how conveniently it was directed to catch that white object for those four frames. If the feds cared at all about the thousands, heck probably hundreds of thousands of experts, professors, journalists, construction crews, architects, etc. and more who disagree with their story, if they cared AT ALL, they would simply show the video from one of the three seized cameras.
This is the type of material that is on Loose Change, and the put options shove the government theory over the cliff. Hell, you are probably with the government and your little gig here is to run the propaganda beat? Well, our articles on this subject are widely read and you in the end have no control over what people believe, say and hopefully eventually reinvestigate.
If anyone cares about the United States, then they need to examine the facts of this story. If not, they they are another sellout sheep and I'll bet the neocons thank God each and every day that they can program and direct their faithful with fear the way they do.

Check this out...quite interesting. Charlie Sheen meets with president obama for 20 minutes to discuss 911. Charlie came very prepared. Who would have thought? http://www.infowars.com/twenty-minutes-with-the-president/

One more thing. Screwloosechange.blogspot.com is not a documentary. It is a website. Thus the ".com" part. Sheesh.
Editor: There is a lame documentary of the same name isn't there?
JB September 7, 2009 9:34 pm (Pacific time)
Van Jones said white people should be assasinated. At least he said people and assasinated instead of animals and killed so I guess it makes it OK.
Editor: Where do you people come up with this crap? The next stupid and totally fictitious comment placed here will not be deleted. Is lying and make-believe the only way you can sell your case, moron?!
Sherri September 7, 2009 6:46 pm (Pacific time)
It was a physical impossibility for those 3 buildings to fall at free fall speed even if steel in impact area did bend. What happened to the 80-90 floors of massive intact beams? Did they just dissappear? NO RESISTANCE from unburned trusses Think about it.
Editor: Sherri, I think most of these characters are incapable of thought. We must have landed in one of those neocon blogs again, happens from time to time. My hate mail collection is very entertaining. And there is nothing these whiners and sheep can do to stop these stories from going out. In the end they absolutely must just abhor freedom of speech. Anyway, thanks for being a voice of reason.
re: anonymous September 7, 2009 6:18 pm (Pacific time)
You are right, the differences between republicrats and depublicans is very narrow when it comes to actual policies implemented. The just got to keep us seperated while they ride to the top I vote for none of the above
Anonymous September 7, 2009 3:46 pm (Pacific time)
For those unknowing souls who decide to read the 9/11 conspiracies being fed here, be sure to check out screwloosechange.blogspot.com for a thorough rebuttal of this insanity.
Editor: The documentary you refer to is a JOKE and a pitiful response to the charges in Loose Change. Those guys were smarter as young students than people like yourself could ever hope to be.

Wow, it's idoits like you that are ruining Oregon. Van Jones was a hateful human being that should not have any place in our government.
Editor: Insulting, nasty little people like you can say what you want and sometimes we'll even let it be published, but you show no intelligence for your cause whatsoever.

Goertzel identified three traits as being correlated with a belief in conspiracy theories: anomia, the respondent stated a belief that he/she felt alienated or disaffection relative to “the system;” a tendency to distrust other people; and a feeling of insecurity regarding continued employment. Citing Volkan, who suggested that insecure and/or discontented people very often feel a need for a tangible enemy on which to externalize their anger, Goertzel notes that conspiracy theories may serve to provide an “enemy” to blame for problems which “otherwise seem too abstract and impersonal.” He further observes that conspiracy theories also provide ready answers for the believer’s unanswered questions and help to resolve contradictions between known ‘facts’ and an individual's belief system. The latter observation seems to be verified by the widespread acceptance within the Muslim world of the contention that the September 11 attacks were the work of Israel, in conjunction with the Bush Administration, in order to increase anti-Muslim sentiments abroad. 3. Don't assume I am a republican lover just because I fear our current administration. I am convinced that the previous adminitration and the current adminitration are guilty of the same thing and moving this country in the wrong direction. Somebody in the media PLEASE start going after the problem. The checks and balances of power are being destroyed in our country and allowing the human condition with its greed for power to prevail at the expense of the people. All 'isms' can imprison us without checks and balances. This is what is happening in our country. All the hate and finger pointing is a just a diversion. Anybody else see this?
David September 7, 2009 2:20 pm (Pacific time)
Wow, Loose Change, now there's a credible documentary with an executive producer who runs a "supermarket tabloid" type website. Oh and Loose Change producer Jason Bermas, the same guy who said " “I contend that we may have been to the Moon, not with rocket technology, but with something else and it's secret." Someone has been watching the X-Files a little too much.
Editor: Nod your head and get in line with the other sheep now, they're waiting for you.
Mike Gregus September 7, 2009 2:16 pm (Pacific time)
In an overwhelming way, going by past active military and veteran polling, you would see these people support those not connected with radicals like Van Jones and his supporters. If someone has some info that suggests otherwise I would like to see it. Just going back to Kerry in 2004, the people who put it on the line support conservatives and I as a veteran also, and am thankful for these active duty personnel. Our free speech is only threatened by those who have lost the debate on facts and choose other methods to manipulate their agenda, usually by omission and even voter fraud. Things are shaking out. Obama ran as a moderate, but he has lost the swing voters and his base is deteriorating. This goes beyond "buyer's remorse", we are seeing the beginning of a significant revoltion. Never in the history of the country have you seen what happened during the Townhall meetings and what is coming. Though the media will minimize what's going on, that is why they have been losing market share. It's because of their far left agenda that networks like FOX and their staff have so much power, and it is growing. Even the other day, loon Howard Dean was on because he knows where the audience is. Van Jones, regardless of his race, was unfit to be in government, and there are many more that will be removed... for cause.
Anonymous September 7, 2009 2:12 pm (Pacific time)
The divide between the republican and democrat people seems to be moving at a very fast pace. The hatred I see and feel between the two groups is beyond words that I can type. And what saddens my heart is that the fighting is over nothing. Both parties continue the same agenda. Power and greed with no honesty or rules. The Constitution has been ignored by both parties, and it is now reaping the benefits of the end of America.
Bob September 7, 2009 2:05 pm (Pacific time)
I watched "Loose Change", and the video did not prove that 9/11 was a government conspiracy. The video was put together by some teenagers, and you want us to believe that based on this video, that the the government killed US citizens to start a war? Terrorists attacked us, that is the simple fact. Did the US government also organize the attacks in Spain, Indonesia, London, and a host of other places? Did the government also plan the first trade center attack, the bombing of the USS Cole? Get you head straight and use a little common sense. You are being duped and are acting like a dupe. Finally regarding Al Gore's movie, again you not using common sense. Man made carbon dioxide emmissions account for less that .3% of all global warming gasses. The best that real scientists can say is that the relitively insignificant amount of man made carbon dioxide emmissions are the straw that is breaking the camel's back. Meaning that the earch is in such perfect balance between natural carbon sinks and carbon emiters, that even a slight elevation by man made gases causes the earth to become totally out of wack. Yet, the scientists fail to explain why carbon levels have never remained constant throughout earth's history, yet we are to believe that the earth is in some type of perfect balance now? As humans, we are but insignificant ants when compared to the earth. Yet you feel the need to place some higher level of importance to your existence. You are nothing but a fearmonger.
Editor: Well you are just another sheep, Bob. Your hero Bush and his sidekick Cheney are the biggest fearmongers who ever lived. You call me that for describing a story the way I see it, you are a sad man. Of course you automatically disagree with the Al Gore movie, all of your kind do that (even though most have never taken the time to watch it!).
Anonymous September 7, 2009 1:36 pm (Pacific time)
Tim: you and I disagree now and then, but thanks for this article. But you are still in the make believe world that the democrats, or obama, are any different. They are all the same, controlled by the same people. Now that you have learned about 911, this is your next homework assignment. They are all controlled by the same select few. In regards to glen beck. Smart at pretending to tell the truth, he had me fooled for awhile also. But I caught on to his tactics and schemes. Tell a little truth with tears, get you to believe him, then continue with the lies. This is an age old tactic, that even fooled me for a short time.
Terry September 7, 2009 1:22 pm (Pacific time)
Amazing hypocrisy, I didn't know the kool-aid drinkers could still surprise me. Obama needs to apologize for violating our trust.
Duke MHA September 7, 2009 8:10 am (Pacific time)
Van Jones and Obama are racist communists working to destroy the miracle that is America. Thanfk God for Glenn Beck and talk radio!
Editor: Good one! Sounds like you'll be getting out of our hair and moving to a country that more appropriately fits your needs? Please say yes.
HughGKnutts September 7, 2009 12:13 pm (Pacific time)
This was a funny story! Certainly not journalism, but then you hid behind that with the disclaimer. If find it hard to believe a "former Marine" could be so gullible as to fall for "loose screw," which has been discredited so often, through all the various versions it has come out in. What a joke! BTW, Bin Laden did take credit for 9/11. "Troofers" pretend to be "patriotic" under the guise of "just asking questions," but those "questions" are really canards that are copy/pasted from site to site to site. Troofers never have answers, just canards. Also, the biggest problem with Van Jones (besides his trooferiness, which was more a laugh than a concern) was that he was a self-avowed communist. I can't see how any person that "really" cares for his country (not those that giving aid and comfort to the terrorists responsible for 9/11) would even remotely tolerate a self proclaimed communist in a role within the Whitehouse. America sure has it's share of nuts. Cam was right and no, it's not everyone else who sounds like a child, Tim, it's your senseless "column" and childish retorts to anyone who disagrees with your trooferiness!
Tim King: Well be disturbed by the fact that I have hundreds and hundreds of published articles and video reports on the Web and that Salem-News.com is extremely popular and growing in our visitor count every day. Loose Change has not been proven to be anything but accurate, and I would be willing to bet that you haven't even seen it. Just nod like a little sheep and find your place in the status quo while you cling tightly to the GOP's britches.
Daniel September 7, 2009 11:31 am (Pacific time)
I also found it quite unbelievable that the plastic id was found when all else was burned or melted . A passerby just happened to look on the ash and soot covered ground thru the clouds of smoke and found the id . Now the terrorist used fake id's to board , but had their real ID in their pocket ? What happened to the mans body or cloths or wallet , it was just the plastic ID that survived ! It does look a little strange ! Bob , Tim may be liberal but you present yourself as one of the most ignorant people in the world !
Mike September 7, 2009 10:02 am (Pacific time)
Calling the exposer of truth "pudgy" is your best shot?
Ginn September 7, 2009 9:54 am (Pacific time)
I agree! It's not wrong to question your government. Case in point: hiring Van Jones. Which proves it's only okay for a certain segment of the public to question the government, and apparently, it's not conservatives who are being branded as "racists".
Phil Langley September 7, 2009 9:44 am (Pacific time)
Some progressives said they saw racial overtones in Jones’ departure – which came as critics began to step up their scrutiny of Jones’ past words of support for Abu-Jamal, a former Black Panther on death row whose murder conviction in the death of a police officer is a cause célèbre for some on the left.“It struck me, why go after this guy? He is a minor player, he has no power, no budget, why take him? It’s because he looks like Obama and he has all those same attributes of being well-educated and he’s an electrifying speaker with an elite education,” said John Anner, a good friend of Jones and former chair of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, an organization Jones founded in Oakland. “It seems to me that he is symbolic of what the Obama administration is and could be and that’s inspiring for me, but for some people on the right, it’s terrifying and threatening.” No one should be surprised at this at all, for apparently it is impossible for conservatives and/or Republicans to oppose anyone who isn’t white without spawning accusations of racism. As so many have written already in recent months, Obama’s so-called “post-racial” America is…not. And folks, it isn’t the conservatives and the GOP who brought this on - it is the leftists who cry “RACISTS!” every time something doesn’t go their way. Here’s a clue, race-baiters: sometimes a person is just wrong, no matter what their melanin level, and that was clearly the case with Van Jones. Furthermore, on the czar-hunting front, I personally believe the next one we need to expose is John Holdren, Obama’s “science czar.” And guess what: he’s white.
Editor: It sounds like you are on a witchhunt to me, and that you have clearly "taken sides". I personally think it is a friggin' joke for white people to talk about prejudice at all. Man, the white race "enslaved" the black race until the 1860's and didn't allow them to even serve with whites in the military until 1947. In the south, kids of different races couldn't attend school together the early 1960's, that was not all that long ago. So when guys like you start your whining about black people treating you with "prejudice", it is just a joke to me, and an extenstion of that same exact prejudice that kept the black race on its knees so damned long. You take pride in your next "target" in the U.S. Presidential administration being white, somehow that makes you feel good about yourself. In the end it is just a sad display of human behavior, from someone who learned and progressed very little in their time here on earth, except in the "fear" department. What else is new?
Martin September 7, 2009 9:32 am (Pacific time)
Van Jones Not The Only 9/11 Truther In Obama's Presidential Circle The chattering classes are asking how someone with Van Jones' background was able to get appointed to a high ranking position in the Obama administration. The answer is easy, Obama had someone just like him at a high level of his presidential campaign from its beginning in early 2007 right through the November 2008 election. Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans, a California comrade of Jones, served as a member of Obama's finance team as a bundler, fundraising event host and was a maxed-out donor. She is also a 9/11 Truther who signed the same 9/11 conspiracy petition in 2004 that Van Jones did. Evans also shares Jones' anti-American, pro-terrorist, radical environmental communist politics. They served together on the board of the Rainforest Action Network in the mid-2000s. Like Jones, Evans is well known in California Democratic party circles where being anti-American is a requirement for advancement in the party. Obama caught zero grief from the mainstream media and the McCain campaign over Evans' involvement at the top levels of his campaign, so naturally Obama and his people would think Jones would skate right on through. It is not about Jones resigning, it is about the people who put him on the taxpayer rolls. Regarding body parts and "liquid metal" statements at the Pentagon [attack], well have any witnesses come forward to say it was not a jet that hit the building? So you would have all these witnesses engaging in some death penalty conspiracy plus they would have had to make-up and doctor the air traffic controller radar tapes of the crash? It just boggles the mind how people just don't think things through in most all conspiracies. So you would have these explosives sitting all over the Trade Tower buildings waiting for a suicide attack? Ever talk to explosives experts and have them tell you what would be involved in prepping these building for demolition? Follow the money in terms of who profits from generating conspiritorial scenario's from the Towers, to Cuba healthcare (visit the poor peoples hospital digs), to climate change, and on and on. Use some common sense. Thousands of people would have had to been involved, and not one person has come forward to say they were involved. Move on.
Patriot September 7, 2009 9:10 am (Pacific time)
Tim, you are an idiot. Thank God for the voices of liberty, including Glenn Beck.
Tim King: Thanks Parrot, now go back to school and study terms and definitions. Your little idol is a sad example of humanity willing to do and say anything for ratings and shock value. So take your Beck and your Limbaugh and Britney Spears and the other people in the world who share your love for right wing opprosive politics against the poor, and build a little alter to worship them from. And then when you are done doing that, why don't you thank a member of the U.S. military for putting their ass on the line so that you and your little fascist philosophy and your idols are sure to have its place here in the United States to blow your anti-American free speech, what say?

"zeitgeist I+II", "9/11-ripple effect" "loose change I+II" are all investigational documentaries that are a priority to see before anymore divisional tactics of the mainstream media are disputed, view these individually or in total and think for yourselves about the conclusion. There is nothing to gain in these presentations but informing we the people of the incredibly serious transitions now taking place on a worldwide scale that were orchestrated from the events on 9/11. I don't wish to influence anyone with my opinion,I want you to form your own by investigating it yourselves.

Jones resignation was not about him signing the "Truther" petition, though that was the misdirection the media in many cases used. There was an accumulation of behaviors that were all exposed using video, tapes and offical documents, including the six months he served in the Los Angeles jail system. There will be other people exposed and it will all be done by using the above similar techniques. This is real investigative journalism and it makes America stronger. When you have agenda pushing going on that fabricates, cherry picks and augments select info instead of providing a comprehensive flow, then you have propaganda. Van Jones, an avowed communist, has absolutely no business experience in the energy industry, but would soon have access to approx. $80 billion in the stimulus funds. Why? He also stated in his resignation that he really did not agree with the "Truther" petition and did not understand what he was signing. He is a graduate of Yale Law School. I am quite familiar with the information that was presented in this article about a government conspiracy, but as the author knows, it is a very small population that supports these theories.

Wasn't the Obama administration supposed to be the beginning of a "post-racial" America? However what we have seen from Obama's connections with all these radicals, Wright, Gates, Jones, is the legitimizing and justification of black on white racism. Even after hearing their hateful, racist rants there are many extremists defending them, even attempting to make martyrs of them. Last year Obama gave a very insincere and selfish "race speech" to the nation to smooth over his troubling relationship with Rev. Wright. Perhaps now is the time for Obama to give a very sincere and honest "discussion" on race so the beginning of a "post-racial" America has a chance to become reality.

Hey Van....... Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!
Osotan; September 7, 2009 3:34 am (Pacific time)
it was nearly impossible for me to believe our govt. would have knowingly allowed, if not actually being in concert with the execution of 9/11 events. Then I started my own research. I work with metals in my occupation, and from the getgo the reports that the aircraft had "vaporized on impact" bothered me. All of them? The same day in different locales? No independent investigation on any of the crash sites?..,passports of "hijackers" found to have survived heat capable of vaporizing titanium and stainless steel aircraft components?., and the list doesen't stop. This is not about republicans or democrats. This is the unfolding in front of our eyes of an agenda for a plan called PNAC,the Plan for the New American Century, drafted by the Council on Foreign Relations, in the early nineties and implemented under bush sr. and the Clinton administration.I'd ask all of you, whichever side of politics you believe in,to research this plan.Rumsfeldt,Cheney,Wolfowitz and Daniel Pearl are the architecs. The plan is self explanatory. 9/11 was the "new Pearl Harbor" referred to in the plan to unify American opinion behind the administration. The present administraation is controlled by the same power, and the plan is designed to expand under it. I hope I am wrong.I fully supported Obama and Pelosi and the ideas they espoused,I'd like to see the follow through on his and the democrats campaign promises before any more Americans or other human beings have to die.Check this out yourselves and then see what you think. Thank you.

I have seen 'Loose Change' and it completely changed the way I looked at all of this. Nobody wants anything like this to be true, but it is hard to believe it isn't.
john September 7, 2009 3:02 am (Pacific time)
With such a background as a journalist I'm wondering about the appropriateness of expressing your own opinion so vehemently. Doesn't that now eliminate your title of journalist and thus make it so that readers would have to wonder on any future report if it is objective journalism or opinion that you are writing. I have no problem with your expressing your view on issues and stories. You have that right as much as anyone else but then stop labeling yourself as a journalist. You do harm to all the real journalists out there. Fox may be guilty of the same sin but it doesn't excuse your abuse of the title and role of a true journalist. Glen Beck doesn't call himself a journalist and neither should you.
Tim King: John, this is slugged as a "political perspective" and that is all it is intended to be. I have a series of links at the bottom of the page that lead to several other articles that are more in-depth. I also included the link for Popular Mechanics so that people can go and see it for themselves. I have covered the wars overseas and I have been reporting for over twenty years John, so it is the real McCoy, I never asked to have to write this, and I know it is upsetting.
Harry September 7, 2009 2:27 am (Pacific time)
The Obama Administration is spineless. If I can see it sitting in my living room in Michigan, our enemies abroad can see it as well. The times they are a changing...
Editor: Spineless, that just doesn't seem to fit Harry. If starting unilateral wars and soiling a nation's reputation throughout the world is the opposite of spineless, then I guess we're all pretty low on hope.
Bob September 7, 2009 1:00 am (Pacific time)
After reading your story, I would find it hard to believe a more liberal or ignorant person exists on this planet.
EDITOR: Geez Bob, you must've been living in quarantine for the last several years, I think I'm just middle of the road. I love how you fail to make a single intelligent point, just typical, drop to insults, it encapsulates your entire side of it, and that sure doesn't say much.
Jimi September 7, 2009 12:53 am (Pacific time)
Tim points a bony finger at Phil Kerpin and says - "What we need to do next, eh Kerpin? Aren't you supposed to be the reporter? It sounds like you are trying to be the guy with the torch leading the peasants up the hill"
Sounds to me like if he's carrying a torch, it's a second-hand "Burn Bush" torch carried by someone else we know who purports to call himself a "journalist". Doesn't it suck having your own 'over-activist' tactics used against you?
Editor: Jimi, you're right, I probably would lead a torch run like that under the right circumstances, but they would be the dead opposite of that other guy. By the way, the bony finger thing is just raunchy, I have very middle of the road finger width!
Cam September 6, 2009 11:45 pm (Pacific time)
Incidentally, for someone so darn intelligent, you'd think he could figure out that Kerpen's article is an opinion piece located at a forum on Fox's website.
Cam September 6, 2009 11:43 pm (Pacific time)
What a disgraceful article.
Not only is the thesis laughable and the attempts to defend Jones pathetic, but pointing to Republicans as white when the author himself appears to be white makes one wonder what pathologies are involved here.
I actually thought only Rosie O'Donnell was dumb enough to buy the "fire doesn't melt steel" absurdity. It's like reading the rantings of a child.
Editor: You know you're the one who sounds like a little child "Cam" and just because you have no respect for facts doesn't make a difference. Now as to the "white man" part, you're damned right I am a white man and because of that, as all people should, I think keeping an eye on my own is the best policy. There is not one group that has savaged the world more than the white man and I believe that is the group I should therefore be most critical of, since I belong to it. Do you known anything at all about melting points? how about the temperature of JP-5 or other jet fuels? Well I know a lot about it, as I am a former tactical aircraft refueler and analyst in the Marine Corps. I have also investigated countless airplane crashes for documentaries and news reports, and I have a close friend who is one of the few people in the world who scraps 757's for a living. You are way out of your league to call insults, go look it up in the library, don't take my word for it.
Jeff September 6, 2009 11:38 pm (Pacific time)
Shameful article. A Maoist/Leninist has no business in the white house.
Editor: Geez, the crap people write just amazes me. Jeff, tell me you actually know better and are just being paid to write this, I would have more faith in humanity if you did.
Bob September 6, 2009 10:36 pm (Pacific time)
I stopped reading this garbage after the second paragraph. Obviously this writter is a nutjob or someone intent on distorting facts. Four terrorist passports were found. A passerby found one passport at the NY crash site and gave it to a NYPD officer shortly before the towers came down. One was found in luggage that did not make the Portland to Boston connecting flight (lost luggage). Finally, two were partially recovered from the Pennsylvania crash site. These are facts from the 9/11 commission.
Stop spreading fear and lies to advance an agenda.
Editor: there is no agenda here, that all took place before and led us into this mess. Go watch Loose Change and then you will know more about what I write about Bob, really. In the end Bob, I totally and completely want to be wrong, and I hope and pray that I am. But then you won't because that would expose you to facts that you don't want to know about. You probably rip on Michael Moore and yet you have probably not even had the courage to sit down and watch it to know what it is about, how about Al Gore's movie? I have never seen a set like the neocons who think they can read two paragraphs and know the whole book. It is consistent with the other problems of your mindset, believe me.
Kevin September 6, 2009 9:59 pm (Pacific time)
The clear and established pattern of lying by the Bush White House? Barack Obama has continued that pattern of lying and has brought it to a new level. He lied to get elected and he and his administration have anything but transparent.
Editor: Kevin, we all have objections to the current Presidential Administration, but there is no connection to the warmongering set that just left office.
