Contest Underway to Name The Yamhill County Transit District

The contest is scheduled to run from September 1st to September 30th. The Yamhill County Commissioners will decide the winner of the contest.

(MCMINNVILLE) - Yamhill County has announced it will give away a gift basket containing products from various Yamhill County vendors as part of a contest to name the county’s transit district.

When submitting an entry please include your name and contact information along with your suggested name for the district.

Upon recommendation from the local Yamhill Transportation Committee (YTC), the Board of Commissioners approved the formation of an ORS County Service District.

The purpose of the district will be to make public transit convenient, accessible to all, and connect communities with each other.

Buses routes include: Amity, Carlton, Cove Orchard, Dayton, Dundee, Gaston, LaFayette, Sheridan, Willamina, Yamhill, Highway 18 Link, McMinnville, Newberg, Hillsboro Max Station, Meridian Park Hospital, Salem Link, and Sherwood Regal Cinemas.

Entries can be made by mail; Name the District, Board of Commissioners, 535 NE 5th St, McMinnville, OR 97128 or at the commissioners office at 434 NE Evans St, McMinnville.
