Southbound Lanes of I-5 CLOSE Near Eugene

There is no anticipated time for re-opening.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - A serious injury crash on Interstate 5 southbound eight miles north of Eugene has all southbound lanes CLOSED at this time.

Southbound traffic being detoured off at exit 209 to Highway 99.

Travelers should expect delays in travel through this area.

Emergency responders will work to clear the lanes as soon as they can but there is no anticipated time for re-opening.

More and more I get reminded why I am such a happier person since I pulled the gas hose from my arm and stopped driving. It is NOT safe out there. And it is getting worse not better.
