Keizer Police Arrest Man for Indecent Exposure

(KEIZER) - Keizer Police say a man who exposed himself and masturbated in front of children was arrested today just after 12:30 PM. Keizer Police Sgt. Bob Trump says the incident happened in front of kids who were playing outside Cummings Elementary School.

29-year old Dennis James Davidson was arrested for three counts of Public Indecency, Disorderly Conduct in the second-degree, Tampering with evidence and a Probation Violation.

Trump says the school’s principal and other adults also witnessed the incident and were on the phone with 911 while the suspect continued to masturbate in plain sight on the playground of the school.

When the first police officer arrived, the suspect fled on foot, crossing through yards before running into a residence at 4676 Rivercrest Dr. North.

Trump says an officer contacted Davidson in the residence and he was identified as the suspect. 4676 Rivercrest is the address of a house owned by Davidson’s grandmother, Anna Truex.

Police say Davidson is unemployed has been staying at his grandmother’s residence, which abuts Cummings Elementary. They believe he has been there for at least a few months.

Records indicate that Davidson is already on misdemeanor probation for public indecency. He was transported to the Marion County Jail with a total bail amount of $23,500.

My son goes to Cummings and last night I received a call from a close friend that this happened right before school started. I am very disappointed that he was allowed to live at this residence. The Marion County Parole/Probation Department was aware of this and allowed him to live at a home that not only butts up against the school, but has no fence aligning his property. This means that anytime of day, during school, when the school is locked down, He can gain entrance and access to our children. We have to go through the front door of the school, or trespass through his property.

I agree with neighbor. I think we got lucky what he did was so harmless. But its more than a sign that he can never be trusted by society again.

I live right by this pervert, he has been looking over his fence at kids for at least two years with binocilars, he has talked to neighborhood children in a unsettling way, he is up all hours of the night, I really think it is just a matter if time. And - if you jump his fence, you are in a school playground, he has opportunity all around him. He has scared my children for two years. I truely belive his intent will change to violence.

When I was a kid in the sixties, we would laugh and laugh when a flasher did his thing. They never hurt us, just a little innocent flash. The hysteria came latter from the mothers. We loved it and would talk about it fondly as one of the more comical parts of our boring middle class lives as children in ticky-tack land.

R.J., I can't argue with you, her name was disclosed by the police in their release and we followed suit. Tim: I don't have a problem with printing the address of the suspect....But, did you have to put his Grandmother's name as well, even tho it is public record? Davidson is already a shame to his family, but now Granny has her name in print and now there is a connection well outlined in print. By the way, I am not a family member.
