Albany Oregon Man Arrested in Child Pornography Case

The arrest of David Brown ended a two-week investigation into allegations that he had downloaded and stored large amounts of child pornography onto his personal computer.

(ALBANY) - On Friday, Albany Police Detectives arrested 44-year old Albany resident David Jonathan Brown on 25 counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and lodged him in the Linn County Jail.

Albany Police Detectives seized the computer and numerous DVD's and, pursuant to a search warrant, located images of child pornography.

One DVD alone had over 600 images, the majority of children as young as 3-years old engaged in sexual contact or lewd and lascivious poses.

The investigation revealed that David Brown had been downloading and storing the child pornography for several years.

The Corvallis Police Department Detective Unit is assisting in the investigation by conducting a forensic search of the computer and recovering the child pornography.
