John Giduck, Author of Terror at Beslan tells the untold true story about the victims, the soldiers who were there and the history of the events leading up to this tragic incident. But more than just the story, this book highlights the lessons America's schools can learn from this tragedy to protect them from terrorism. What happened? What can we learn from this tragedy? This informative and historical presentation is a must see for all who work in the schools. The lecture takes place at Chemeketa Community College, Building 6 Auditorium, 4000 Lancaster Dr NE, March 9th, 2007, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Cost is $99.00. About the Beslan School Siege in Russia: The Beslan school hostage crisis (also referred to as the Beslan school siege or Beslan Massacre) began when armed Muslim terrorists[1] took more than 1200 school children and adults hostage on September 1st, 2004, at School Number One (SNO) in the Russian town of Beslan in North Ossetia. On the third day of the standoff, gunfire broke out between the hostage-takers and Russian security forces.
