(TRIPOLI) - NATO admits that nine civilians were killed in an air strike Sunday on Tripoli and two babies were among nine victims counted so far.

NATO has admitted that civilians were killed in an air strike on a Tripoli suburb on Sunday.

Officials there report that two babies were among the nine dead.

As Russian TV reports, this is the first time the Alliance has conceded responsibility for civilian deaths, although Libya's Health Ministry claims more than 800 people have died in three months of air attacks.

We have reported many civilian deaths as a result of the NATO air raids.

Maria Finoshina reports now from the capital Tripoli. You may find some of the images disturbing.

9 victims? Ok, how many had been killed, abused, tortured... while that murderer was in control?
900,000 thousand? 9 lives is a small price to pay for the millions saved. BTW, those were stray bombs and not the deliberate killings of the past 42 years. Get a grip, it’s war not a picnic.

Editor: Within the last year, Gaddafi was a friend of the United States, the same country that called for his death in recent weeks.  If you want to blame someone for Libya's problems, blame the neo-Romans, you know that aspect of the story?  Have you ever heard of Omar Mukhtar?  Did you know that Italy set up concentration camps for the Libyans decades before Hitler went after the Jews?  Right, most Americans don't know very much at all about what led to the current mess we're in, but regardless, for 42 years of what you describe must have been perfectly OK, but it all changed when Obama said otherwise?  Really? I can't be a part of any such deadly national hypocrisy, I don't mind saying that either.

This thing is about making money, killing in the name of... It is an opportunity for the defence community to market its wares and show its stuff..  No picnics ever for these kids, they're cut from the deal, their hopes and dreams, because the Americans said it was OK to scrub civilians, just a little collateral damage like Iraq, and Afghanistan, and Pakistan, and Vietnam,... so we just treat it like.. wait, I know, Baghdad!  No wonder we're having such problems with world perception.  Every American should spend time in Baghdad, the place we came to know as kids through 'I Dream of Jeanie' as it looks today thanks to the favors of American freedom and bombs, lots and lots, tens of thousands of tons, of bombs.  And the good part for those who like war is that the bombs used today are 'dirty' and they leave radioactive stains on communities that will go on providing cancer for a thousand years.  .

Truth is it's a country, not a war brother   Only American and its allies make them into wars and we do it over and over and over.  Libya's problem was an internal problem, we are no good at fixing ANYthing- void of credibility except as individuals, and the numbers you cite, what is the source?  Western media?   Jesus would disagree completely brother and there aren't two ways to it.  We must remember these things, that is my humble human opinion.
