No injuries were reported.

Salem-News.com

(SALEM) - A kitchen fire led to the evacuation of approximately 40 patrons and 15 employees at The Ram Border Café & Brewery in Salem Sunday evening. Salem firefighters responded to the restaurant at 515 12th St after a kitchen chef saw flames and smoke coming from a kitchen wall.

Salem Fire Spokeswoman Chris Riffle says the Department received the call for fire and smoke in a structure at 5:17 PM on Sunday. The first alarm sent 3 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, and a Battalion Chief. Firefighters arriving on scene say they found fire inside the wall and heavy smoke in the employees' north corridor to the Brewery. Crews extinguished the fire within minutes of their arrival according to Riffle, minimizing the amount of damage to the structure.

No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated to be under $1,000. The fire is under investigation.
