(SALEM) - Twenty-eight representatives from area law enforcement agencies participated in the nationwide domestic violence sweeps this week. The team arrested 18 people over a 7-hour period on outstanding arrest warrants for domestic violence related crimes. Four of those people were also arrested on new charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Agencies participating included the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Parole and Probation and Patrol Divisions, Salem Police Department, Keizer Police Department and the Marion County District Attorney’s Office.
