(Albany, Ore.) - On Thursday, October 14, 2010, at about 10:30 a.m., the Albany Police Department responded to the Northwest Community Credit Union, located at 707 SE Waverly Drive on the report of a robbery. A bank employee reported that a male suspect entered the bank and presented a robbery note that indicated he was armed with a firearm. The bank employee gave an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect who then walked out of the bank and left the area headed east on 7th Avenue on a red mountain bike. Police say the suspect did not display a weapon during the robbery. The suspect is described as a white male adult, medium build, approximately 6 feet tall. He wore blue pants, a black hooded coat with the hood pulled up, a black baseball hat, sunglasses, black and grey gloves, and what was reported to be a false mustache and beard.
