The guest list for the NCHA event includes veterans of the Iwo Jima battle. Also attending will be WW II veterans of the Pacific and European campaigns as well as Vietnam and Korea veterans and soldiers recently returning from the Middle East. “We feel strongly that these men and women deserve the opportunity to be the first in Oregon to view the film and at no cost,” said Gary Mortensen, President of the NCHA. “Clearly, they have already paid with their military service.” Mortensen worked with the Veterans Association and other local military organizations to reach out to the veterans. The event is free with advance reservations only and is open to veterans and active duty members of the military. Please RSVP by Thursday, October 19th by calling (503) 597-7030, (503) 490-8696 or email: grmortensen@comcast.net

To all: Great photos summarize great historical moments, becoming the mental image of the great meanings we must learn. Any question about visualized learning media and impact on curriculum when properly provided ? Cannot any longer count on print-page only in craftsman-style classroom with one teacher cultivating the whole crowd...
