(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com has existed for three and a half years, we have covered thousands of stories and we have broken new ground in the process. Our point is to provide more news and information in an interactive environment, and we want to increase that interactivity through investor activity. We see a lot of Web traffic every day, upwards of 16,000 unique visitors a day during peak months, and we are a highly ranked Website in the world of news which is a claim that can be verified through a variety of credible sources. Salem-News.com makes the most of today’s technology, distributing news and information in the cleanest, most succinct form available: electronically. Combining the online industry’s instant access with the world of electronic journalism, Salem-News.com has no “broadcast range” limitation, and offers low-risk potential to investors. We want to grow and provide careers in journalism and give honesty and unbiased interests a chance. It is a fact that Internet news is the future, and we already have a major foothold. Salem-News.com needs investor funds to pay base salaries for sales people and for marketing and many other integral purposes. We are hoping to attract an investor or investors who are interested in changing the future through the interpretation of local news and world events. We have teamed up with dignified writers and we have sent a reporter to cover the war in Afghanistan. One of our biggest interests is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder among our returning veterans and their overall treatment in the veterans care system. One of our writers is a medical doctor who served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Another is a writer who has been working in the American newspaper industry since the late 1930’s. The site’s news director is a disabled Desert Storm veteran; the general manager is an accomplished multi-media professional; the founder is a former U.S. Marine and serves as our war correspondent. At the time of this writing we are on the verge of publishing our 70th edition of a cartoon series seen only on Salem-News.com. The artist is a local professor and educator. We also have a commentary writer, another veteran, who is disabled and uses public transportation in Salem each day. We have a grandmother who covers community affairs, a Web designer who puts countless hours into the development and upgrading of the site, and many more committed individuals. We have a lot of people who believe in our mission. Would you like to learn more about Salem-News.com? Ours is a business that people are attracted to; and an underdog that frequently wins the fight. Salem-News.com has been built by news professionals, veterans who hail from the ranks of broadcast TV and radio, magazines and newspaper. We have been among the first in the nation to incorporate video reporting, interactivity through public comments, and coverage of our local National Guard troops at war. Locally, we have been the first in each case. What we need now is a shot in the arm, it has been difficult to build certain aspects of this business because our emphasis has been on journalism and reporting, the reason we are here, and now we are ready to talk to investors who want to invest in not just Salem-News.com, but a series of similar sites, all with equal or even larger potential to earn good revenue and bring about much needed changes in news consumption. According to Borrell Associates, local online advertising increased 40% YOY 2005-6, reaching $5.7 billion. Get in while you can.
