I-5 Northbound in Eugene Closed Over Haz Mat Crash

A detour was established early to help get northbound traffic around area while lanes remain closed for possibly several hours, motorists are advised to expect delays.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Oregon State Police troopers are on Interstate 5 northbound where travel lanes south of the Highway 58 junction near milepost 188 in Eugene area completely closed

They say that at approximately 5:15 AM, a commercial truck rolled onto its side and is blocking all northbound lanes.

The truck was carrying an unidentified hazardous material and local Haz Mat response personnel are on scene.
