(SALEM, Ore.) - A Lebanese intelligence official announced that Ahmed al-Assir, in his shocking confessions, unveiled his regional supporters and Takfiri groups.

According to the report, Ahmad al-Assir revealed his cooperation with the security authorities in Qatar to create unrest in Lebanon.

He also admitted that he received a huge amount of money to create conflict, tension and chaos in Lebanon, admitting that his wife distributed it among Takfiri elements.

Also, Lebanese interior Minister Nahad Mashnuq, said that Qatar is responsible for the recent unrest in Lebanon.

Ahmed al-Assir also has admitted his secret communications with the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Awad Asiri. In order to carry out terrorist acts, he has always been associated with Saudi officials. He also carried out terrorist operations in Sunni areas and ascribes the actions to Hezbollah to position Sunnis against Hezbollah.
